| Our Curriculum |

Children learn through play-way method,
plus writing of Marathi letters (Barakhadi), words and simple
sentences, numbers, addition, subtraction are taught in Balvarg.
A separate syllabus for Chhota Shishu, Motha Shishu and Balvarg.
This syllabus is divided into four parts (month wise). |

Chhota Shishu: |

| |
Stories, conversation, picture reading,
general knowledge- fruits, colours, birds.
Jeevan Vyavahar- to tell the name, to recognise their belongings.
Special subjects like music, nursery rhymes, action songs, craft,
drawing, free play and physical training- in this indoor and
outdoor games.
In the second term, along with stories, picture talk and conversation
they are taught to recognise marathi letters and numbers. They
are even taught to count 1 to 5 numbers. In general knowledge,
common flowers, fruits, parts of the body, tastes, vegetables,
sensory education- to discriminate different sounds.
No writing in Chhota Shishu, only pattern writing is given on
slates.

Motha Shishu: |

| |
Stories, picture talk and conversation,
pattern writing, letters recognition and reading, to draw lines
and squares on the slate, number recognition, counting, shapes,
general knowledge- pet animals, birds, flowers, people who help
us, god according to days (Monday- Shankar, Saturday- Hanuman).
Sensory education- colours, smells, good manners.
Special subjects like music, craft and drawing, clay work, free
movements on music, games (indoor and outdoor games).
In the second term writing of Marathi letters (Barakhadi) and
number is introduced.Children learn about pet and wild animals;
about day and night; concept- hard and soft, tall and short,
fat and thin, vehicles in general knowledge. Cleanliness is
taught- personal as well as cleanliness of the surroundings. |

Balvarg: |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Stories, information of festivals,
picture talk and conversation, letter writing, reading two letter
words. Numbers- writing, recognition, counting. In general knowledge,
marathi months of the years, farmer, rainy seasons, names of
pulses and legumes, insects. Sensory development.
Special subjects like drawing, colouring, craft, music, clay
work, creativity- to make crape paper balls and paste them in
a particular shape.
Note books and Vyavasay Pustika are given for writing. So the
children get practice of copying down from the black board and
get interested in solving exercises . They learn counting numbers,
concept of zero, tens and units in a play-way method. |
