This program emphasizes on a multi-disciplinary approach focusing on spatial, social,
economic and environmental issues related to human habitat in urban, rural and regional
contexts.
It provides students with a working knowledge of the theory, policy, law, research,
principles and practices required for planning and management of urban and rural
areas.

The program is designed to train students in methods for scientific evaluation of
various factors for planning environmentally sustainable development of human settlements.
It covers subjects like energy efficient buildings, GIS, environmental law, thermal
comfort & passive design green buildings etc.

The course aims at training competent professionals who can deal with complex building
projects by coordinating with various agencies in practice.
The thrust of the program is on imparting knowledge of planning, scheduling and
