IES MCRC is located in the Queen of suburbs Bandra, in Mumbai. In fact, IES MCRC is strategically located in Bandra Reclamation, such that it can be reached by road via Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Western Express Highway, Swami Vivekanand Road, BKC or can be easily accessed by Western and Harbour Railways.


IES MCRC Information Resource Centre aims to cater to information needs of faculty, students, research scholars, and other members of the institute by providing an excellent collection of literature. The well furnished, air conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled Library is located on 1st floor of the building with a seating capacity of 130 students. The library also has one Discussion Room where students can hold discussions.

The Library has more than 18,500 books covering subjects like, business and management, economics, IT, Law and related areas. The Reference Section of the library has varied collection of Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Case Studies, Handbooks, Government Reports and manuals on various aspects of Management studies and related areas.

The periodical section of the library is the "Information Powerhouse" through which current information is found in the Journals, newspapers and magazines .The library boasts of more than 120 Indian and International Journals in print form and more than 7000 E-Journals available online. The library also has varied collection of non-book materials in the form of VCDs, DVDs, Audio CDs and E-books.

Equipped with modern facilities, the library provides a conducive environment to the users. The library is fully automated with Barcode system, which enables users to access the information readily. The bibliographic details of the library documents can be accessed through OPAC from any of the computer terminals available in the institute.

E-Resources section is a vital source for academic research and up to date business information, with this thinking the library has subscribed to following e-databases:

The Digital Library Section of the library constitutes Institutional Digital Repository, Audio/Visual Library and a Library Blog: Virtual Library. Institutional Digital Repository is a collection of IES Conference Proceedings, Research output of IES MCRC, past question papers and other useful reference materials. The Library has installed CD- Mirroring Server wherein all the CDs are stored. The entire collection of CDs can be accessed over the network from Laptops via Wi-Fi or from any of the computer terminals available in the Institute. This has been appropriately referred to as 'Audio-Visual Library'. The Info Resource Centre: a virtual library' is a blog developed by the library, which provides information about online open access and other useful resources.

The Library follows an open access system encouraging the user to browse freely in the stack area.

In order to meet the growing thrust for knowledge, the library has become member of DENET (Developing Library Network), BCL (British Council Library) and AIRC (American Information Resource Centre)


IES MCRC has state-of-art spacious classrooms. All classrooms are air conditioned, and equipped with latest technological facilities like LCD display, Computer, Internet, Sound Systems. All well equipped classrooms provide a healthy atmosphere for learning, thus providing an environment to improve students' capacity to concentrate.

Our Infrastructure rates among the best in Mumbai having over 6014 sq. meter area compromising of air conditioned classrooms, two state-of-art computer centres, an excellent updated Library with access to top management books, a centrally air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 people. IES MCRC also has a Seminar Hall to accommodate 150 people. Our campus also houses a clinic with a practicing doctor.

Library Card:

Inter Library loan Facility (ILL):

1.1 Access to IES library is restricted to staff and students of IES MCRC.
1.2 In case of loss of library cards or reference card, the library will make a duplicate card on filling up of prescribed form with charges of Rs. 50/- each.
1.3 Members must carry their I– Cards to get entry and use the library. Members must produce it when asked to do so by an authorized person. The card must be used only by the member to whom it is issued.

Overdue Charges.

Book must be returned to the library on or before the due date. If books are not returned to the library on the due date, an overdue charge will be Rs. 2/- per day per book after due date, till the date of return. This overdue charge will be Rs. 10/- per day, per book during exam period. Library material issued on Reference Ticket should be returned on the same day or else a fine of Rs. 100/- will be charged per day till the date of return.

Reservation for book :

If desired book is not available in the shelf, reservation/demand slip may be filled in.

Renewal of the books :

a. Students should renew the book personally and only once.
b. Books will be renewed only if the book is not in demand.
c. Books shall be renewed on or before due date.

Conditions for borrowing books:

  • Books shall be used with utmost care.
  • Borrower shall be personally responsible for safe custody and return for the library books. Books damaged or lost are to be replaced by the borrower.
  • Loss of Library materials must be brought to the notice of the Librarian. Books damaged or lost will be replaced by the borrower with latest edition available; else he/she must pay the Market price for the same.
  • Reader shall not write upon, mark on and stain the library material, disfigure, tear and damage books.
  • Borrower must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of books at the time of borrowing the books and any defect or damage observed should be brought immediately to the notice of the counter staff.
  • Reference books, rare books, periodicals publications will not be issued for home lending. They must be returned to the library before leaving the library.
  • Book may be lent for shorter period.
  • If a student is found in habit of constant retaining the books for more than stipulated period the library facility shall be suspended for him/her for seven days.
  • The removal of any material from the library must be properly authorized and recorded. Damage to, or unauthorized removal of material constitutes a serious offence and the nature of fine will depend upon the offence.
  • Books or other material taken from the stacks should not be re shelved by the readers but should be left on the table. Please remember that a book misplaced is a book lost.
  • The Mark sheets may be withheld until all library materials have been returned and outstanding fines/charges are paid.

Other Rules:

For reason of security, bags and other personal belongings should not be left unattended. The library will not be responsible in case of damage or theft of personal property. Silence is required in study areas. Loud conversation, standing in groups, discussions etc. are not allowed. The use of mobile phones in the library is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in suspension of library facilities or exclusion from the library. Smoking, consumption of food and drink (with the exception of bottled water) and the use of personal audio equipment are not permitted in the library.

IES Library has become a member of DELNET, BCL, AIRC to meet ever growing thirst for knowledge among students and faculty members.
The library can borrow documents from other libraries on Inter Library Loan basis by filling up the Institutional Membership forms. The Institutional Membership forms are available with Library.

Reading Room:

The library has fully Air-conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled spacious Reading Room on 1st floor. The Reading Room can accommodate about 130 students and is kept open for 12 hrs. The Library also has a Discussion Room where students can hold discussions located on the same floor

Book Exhibition: 

Book exhibition is held every year. Members can obtain the books / CDs at concessional rates during the exhibition.

CAS: Current Awareness Service

Every month a list of additions to the library collection is made available to the students and faculty members via e-mail.

SDI: Selective Dissemination of Information 

The contents page of new journal arrived are scanned and sent to faculty members according to their subject specialization via email. Scanned pages of journals are also available in the library in soft copy.

Case Study Documentation:

The library comes out with the “Case Study Documentation” on specialized subjects. It includes listing of case studies on various topics available in Journals and Periodicals subscribed by the library.

Conference Alerts Monthly:

The library provides monthly info alerts on upcoming academic and professional events all over the world.

Newspaper Clipping Services

The newspaper clippings of daily business newspapers (ET, Business Standard, Business Line) pertaining to subjects like Business and Management, Economics, Technology and on current affairs are archived by library. A list of newspaper clippings is sent to faculty through email daily.

In-house Publications and material

The library preserves a collection of IES Publication material, IES events and activities.

Photocopying Facility:

A Photocopier is available in the library. Students can avail of the service at Re. 1/- a copy.

Printing Facility:

A printer is available in the library. Students can avail of the service at Rs.3/- a copy.


Recommendation from students and faculty are invited in building the collection of books in the library.

Library Orientation:

Library organizes a thorough orientation program for all classes and faculty members every year and sees to it that all the resources are well utilized

Overnight Issue:

Back issues of magazines can be borrowed on Reference card for overnight. Borrowing facility is available after 7.00pm. The magazines issued on reference card should be returned the next day by 9.00am. Failing which a fine of Rs. 100/- is imposed.

Past Question papers and Syllabi:

They are available on the Institutional Digital Repository and students can refer to them anytime during the College hours. They can be accessed at


The library has equipment like headphones and computers. Members can use the headphones for three hours duration by borrowing on their reference cards. Computers can be used to access the E-resources of the library.

The Library OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is live at The online catalogue can only be accessed by computers logged on to IES Campus network. This online catalogue includes an index of books, CDs, Project Reports and Case studies available in the library. The users can search the library documents, check the overdue and fines, their circulation history and can make purchase suggestions online. The library has automated various procedures using Integrated Library Management System-Koha. The users get the alerts on check-in and check-out of library items and receive updates on the status of due items via e-email. The OPAC is accessible only through user id and password. Ace Equity is a corporate database which provides latest historical, Financial and non-financial information with listed and unlisted companies in India. It gives comprehensive and analytical statistics for company information. No user ID and Password are required to access the database.
CMIE (Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy)
It provides information solutions in the form of databases and research reports. CMIE is a database on the Indian economy and companies. CMIE can be accessed through as an icon on the desktop.

2. Economic Intelligence Service

provides an overview and a forecast of the Indian economy through a Monthly Review of the Indian Economy and provides 12 annual volumes of detailed reference data.

3. Industry Analysis Service

provides an in depth analysis of about 100 industries, every month. It contains forecasts and provides a detailed time-series database on the industries.

4. ET-Intelligence: Market Research

It is a single user and online database. It provides information on Equity Research reports, Daily Derivatives, Sectorial Portfolio Tracker, 100 fastest growing companies, Quarterly sectorial notes, Case studies, Daily updates on markets, Weekly Technical analysis, ET surveys etc. This database is accessible only thorough Library Computers and Login ID and Password can be sought from the Library.

IBID is the comprehensive index to Indian business and industry information in newspapers and magazines. IBID presents detailed summary of selected news and views published in over 240. User Id and password can be sought from the library staff.

It is a single user and online database. It provides comprehensive socio-economic statistical data about India and its states. Data on the portal has been classified in more than 35 categories and further divided into various sub-categories. This database gives a slick look into current happenings with a statistical approach. This database is accessible only through Library computers and Login ID and Password can be sought from the Library.

In our attempt of all round development of our students who are the budding managers of future we provide students with all sorts of recreational facilities. Students play major indoor and outdoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess in the campus and outdoor games like Cricket, Volley ball, Badminton, Throw ball in the hired grounds. Major informal discussion between students usually happens during breaks and free time in our College Canteen situated on ground floor or in the Cafeteria on the 2nd floor.


IES-MCRC has two state-of-art Computer Laboratories currently well-equipped with dedicated HP ProLaint packaged cluster. Two DL380 G4 servers, XEON processors, HP SERVER and one DL360 G6 Quad Core Intel Xeon 5504 processor connected to highly compatible Core i5 machines via MSA 500 CLUSTER. Entire Management College campus is wired by Cisco wireless access point and mobility controller. The Campus is connected to the internet world by a 6 Mbps leased line.

We have a blend of big classrooms and small classrooms to accommodate the student batches of different sizes.
