Retail is the largest industry in india contributing
to Substantial employment.This arena has been historically
dominated by the retail kiosks, the local kirana shops
etc. However, over the recentyear huge retail stores
have come in to existence. Organized retailing is expected
to increase to RS. 35,000 crore by 2005. India has emerged
as sixth most attractive destination in the retail sector
More than 50,000 new jobs are expected to be credited
in the next few years with 50 super market, 750 malls
and over 1500 retail stores coming up. These industries
require people who want to be professional managers
and not just retail salesmen. This course has been conceived
keeping these requirement in mind. The syllabus and
