Focused towards its mission to imbibe value addition through education and thereby transform its students into "excellent managers", the management of IES thought of organizing a conference, which would forefront the current issues in the world of business.

With this in mind IES started hosting its Corporate Event titled "UDAAN" from the year 2002-03. Since then every year it tries to delve into relevant topics that influence the economic environment of today's world.

The theme for :
    UDAAN 2002-03 was "India on the Fast Track "
    UDAAN 2003-04 was "Beyond Traditional HR"
    UDAAN 2004-05 was "Redefining Strategic Thinking"

In the past occasion we have attracted eminent speakers and delegates for our event the likes of Mr. Y. B. Waghmare, (Corporate Head - HR, Yash Birla Group, Speaker), Mr. Sanath Mishra - Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, who have shared their wholesome and enriching experience.

The post independence challenges ahead of India Inc were multifarious. Despite the inherent limitations of constrained infrastructure, unemployment, large scale poverty, competition from other growing economies and such daunting factors, Brand India has now been able to develop a niche in the global market. The metamorphosis from a low quality, underdeveloped third world nation to a globally competitive and fast growing economy has been made possible by the meticulous strategic planning and commitment by the leaders of India Inc, leading to the choice of the theme.
