The Navi Mumbai Kindergarten
is run and managed by the Trustees of Indian Education Society.
The Kindergarten is unaided and is run exclusively from the
fees paid by the children. On 9th July 1977, the well-known
Indian Educational Society of Mumbai took over. K.G. Unit was
attached to Primary then and Smt. D'Souza was appointed Principal
of K.G. & Primary Section.
A few years later, it was noticed that the K.G. Section needed
more attention and it was separated as an Independent unit.
On 1st Feb. 1983, Smt. S.S. Kerkar was appointed Principal of
the independent K.G. Section.
Steadily the K.G. Section flourished acquiring an identity on
its own with classes of Mini, Jr. K.G. and Sr. K.G. (English
and Marathi Medium) with strength of about 1000 children under
this unit. |

Principal's
message to parents: |
| |
|
| |
Get closer to your child
and understand him and his needs. Each moment you spend with
your child is precious for him. Your child's smile, fumbling
hold on your fingers, the spit bubbles the child so gleefully
makes are all moments very special. Chalk out time, when you
can spend with your child without any disturbance. Take an active
part to caring and loving your child. Make the child share his
experience and doubts with you. A relationship is not like Instant
Coffee. It takes time, effort and patience. It is quite natural
to feel resentment towards your child at times. It's not the
child, but the stress that is so much a part of this new responsibility
that you want to reject. As you get closer to your child, your
comfort level with him grows. |
