Basic Ceramic Course

For those of you who have always wanted to try their hand at pottery as a therapeutic hobby or develop a new skill over your weekends, this 10-session course will enable your artistic abilities.


In these two-hour sessions, participants will get hands-on with clay and learn different techniques of hand modelling as well as throwing on the wheel. Our studio faculty will demonstrate techniques and processes of making clay articles. Under their guidance, you will make make either an object of functional pottery or sculptural ceramic art, every session, employing the different demonstrated techniques. 

Practical Training includes:

– Making various clay articles

– Preparing basic shapes on potter’s wheel

– Construction of forms by four handbuilding methods – pinching, coil, carving and slab

– Bisque firing

– Introduction to glazing


Session Timings:

Weekends                                     Batch 1: 9 am to 11 am
(Saturday – Sunday)                      
Batch 2: 12 pm to 2 pm


Weekdays                                     Batch 1: 2 pm to 4 pm
(Monday – Tuesday)                     


Participant must be at least 12 years old


Rs 15,000/- (including GST)

Fees include:

– 10 sessions (5 consecutive weekends)

– Materials used at the studio (clay, glazes, tools)

 Cost of bisque and glaze firings up to 4 objects of pottery per course

(When a student wishes to fire and glaze work that exceeds this amount, additional charges will be levied as per actuals)

*Full payment is required to make reservation (no partial payment or deposits)

*Due to limited space, there are no make-up classes
