Corporate India Tour 2010 was a grand success. The faculty and students from FHNW, Switzerland were taken to different companies for industrial visit from 22nd March, 2010 to 26th March, 2010. As a part of their tour, they first visited Rolta (India) were they learnt how innovation helps company to distinguish among competitors. They also visited Ackruti City, students were taken for a visit to a well-known slum rehabilitation site at Saiwadi, Anderi east. All the phases of development were shown and explained to them. They also had a reality tour of Dharavi were they were not only shown the biggest slum in Asia, but a place where there are several enterprises being run, a living example of communal harmony and energy.
In industrial visit, students were taken around the manufacturing site for Godrej Interio and were exposed to entire process of manufacturing furniture through automated machinery, which was truly captivating. They were also taken to knowledge centre at Godrej which showcased wide range of Furniture products for a variety of application.
A guest Lecture by Mr. Madhava Dasa Vice-President ISKCON was arranged who gave a very interesting Presentation on ‘Impact of religion on young managers’. To end the Corporate India Tour the Swiss students were given a flavor of bollywood by not just the glamour part of it but the business acumen that bollywood has in India. They were shown entire film making facilities at Whistling Woods, Mumbai.
All in all it was a great experience for Swiss delegates to visit India and take away great practical and experiential learning's.
The faculty and students delegation of FHNW were simply overwhelmed with the exposure they got of Indian companies. All in all it was a great success and FHNW students took home great learning’s and experience from India
