Punadalik Y. Patkar, an excellent educationalist, benevolent administrator and committed founder Principal of the IES Marathi Medium Primary School, Hindu Colony, Dadar, dedicated his services for the growth of the institute. He was awarded President's Gold Medal for 'Best Teacher' by Govt. of India in 1967.


An exemplary teacher, his caring attitude, devotion to work and cordial behavior made him very special. He struggled throughout his life in developing an inquisitive mind among his students. He was awarded President's Gold Medal for 'Best Teacher' in 1970

  Just as the past students, the present students are also the center of attention. The rank holders of SSC exam are awarded gold medals every year.During the last ten years more than hundred students secured a place in the Merit list.  
     
  - In 1992 Miss Prajakta Joshi form Girls School No.2, stood first in the Merit List and also secured the Prestigious    Jagannath Shankar Shet Scholarship.
- In the year 1993 Master Amit Patwardhan, a student of New English School, Bandra,
  stood first in Greater Mumbai.
- In 1995-96, Miss Uma Kinnarkar of Modern English School stood first amongst the girls and second in the Board.
- In 1999- Kumar Chakrapani Chitnis of Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya secured hundred out of
  hundred in Sanskrit and got the cash prize of Rs. 10,000 from the Board.

More than half of the scholarships secured in Mumbai are bagged by the students of different schools of our society. All these students are felicitated with gold medals and cash prizes.

In the 1997-98 Middle School scholarship exams, 71 students of the Padmakar Dhamdhere English Medium Primary School secured scholarships. They also bagged the first three positions in the exams.
