President’s Message

Greetings of the Day!!

Indian Education Society, an Educational Charitable Trust, which was established in 1917, has successfully completed more than 106 years.

As proud bearers of the legacy of this 100-plus years old Trust, we have been active in the field of education since the year 1912. It has grown to be a huge academic conglomerate comprising of more than 60 schools and 3 colleges, spread across 18 campuses within the state of Maharashtra.

The two ICSE Schools of Indian Education Society, IES Orion & IES’s Manik Vidyamandir, are doing quite well, recording noteworthy achievements year on year.

The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 states that one of the main drivers of the education system will be extensive use of technology; and it also emphasises on the use of mother tongue or local language as the medium of instruction till Class 5, and possibly beyond.

With the very fact that the full-fledged implementation of NEP 2020 is in the offing, it is quite clear that IES needs to chart out a comprehensive strategy for its progressive pedagogical transformation.

Here, I would like to especially appreciate the efforts of IES’s Academic Advisory team as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff members for successfully adapting to and embracing the best practices of online and application-oriented teaching-learning processes in the classrooms.

The NEP 2020 strives to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society over the next few years through Government’s skill development initiatives, and aims at improving the quality of education by giving equal importance to creativity & innovation.

As initial steps, IES has already started an Institute for Skill Development at Dadar (West) and has created a state of the art Innovation and Incubation Centre at its Bandra (West) campus. Additionally, IES’s Management College and Research Centre has invested in a technocratic set-up of Bloomberg terminals for the benefit of its students.

IES’s students win lot of laurels and make IES proud – one such example is that of University of Mumbai’s B.Arch Course results declared in May 2024 wherein 1st, 3rd, 4th & 8th rank holder students are from IES’s College of Architecture, Mumbai.

The bottom line of our Educational Vision continues to be that IES will remain a leading educational institution with a reputation for progress in education and students excellence, by upgrading the value / quality of education.

The Management of IES solicits help, co-operation and generation of new ideas from its well-wishers to help achieve the vision of IES of creating an empowered student fraternity through Higher Education in the years to come.

On behalf of Indian Education Society, I wish the very best to all the students!!
