"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." - John Dewey.
I , Mrs. Shamal Chandrama Kalgutkar, the newly appointed Principal of our esteemed school, would like to enthusiastically lead our school community with a commitment to empower both students and staff, encouraging them to positively impact society.
My history as both a student and a teacher for 30 + years within the IES schools has intimately acquainted me with our institution's ethos and values. I am dedicated to advancing this cherished legacy to the best of my abilities.
My focus will be to maintain a balanced approach to curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, fostering discipline, confidence, competitiveness, communication, social skills, accountability, responsibility, and other vital life skills in our students. We aim to provide plentiful opportunities for students to excel and express their talents in sports, academics, and the arts through various competitions at local, state, and national levels.
We are committed to upgrading our infrastructure, ensuring well-equipped science and computer labs, and enriching our library with diverse resources to broaden and deepen student learning.
Understanding that values are more often caught than taught, we intend to cultivate a nurturing environment that promotes positive moral growth.
As global citizens, it is our duty to raise awareness about environmental challenges and conservation. Our nature club will play a pivotal role in educating our community about ecological responsibilities and promoting sustainable practices.
Furthermore, we believe in the transformative power of love, compassion, empathy, and kindness. Through community service initiatives, we will encourage our students to contribute meaningfully to the lives of those less fortunate.
The support and cooperation of our dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff are invaluable, and I earnestly invite you, our dear parents, to join us in this collaborative effort to foster the holistic development of our children.
I seek divine blessings for our journey ahead and the grace to fulfill our mission on this earth.
In the words of Max Lucado: "God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile."
Let us embark on this meaningful journey together.
Wishing you all the best
Smt. Shamal Chandrama Kalgutkar
