Vinit Mirkar
Principal
About
Vinit Mirkar is the Principal of IES College of Architecture. He has a strong teaching base in architectural research, design and technology at both, the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Having taught in several institutions and practiced the profession for over the last two decades, he has a balanced footing in teaching, administration and practice. He believes education should lead the industry. He holds the post of General Secretary of the Maharashtra Association of Schools of Architecture. He is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Architects and is a Member of the Executive Council of IIA Brihan Mumbai Centre. He has presented and published papers on various aspects of the built environment and is a member of the Review Committee of the Journal of the Indian Institute of Architects (JIIA), as well as for several international conferences.
At present, he is pursuing a doctorate at the premier central university, Jamia Millia Islamia.
