Curriculum & Co-Curriculum

Curriculum 1

We have worked to provide a high quality curriculum that addresses the student's individual levels of emotional, physical and intellectual development. Our well rounded program includes various activities that encourage freedom of thought, artistic expression, skill in music, performing arts, physical education as well as other extra-curricular activities. In these pursuits, students will build further on their current knowledge by participating in experiences that broaden their understanding and perspective. Students will enjoy learning by making meaningful connections between the classroom and the world at large.

Co-Curriculum

The word ‘Education’, today, more than ever, encompasses a world way beyond the classrooms. We, at IES Manik Vidyamandir, are acutely aware of this rapidly changing scenario and therefore strive to provide our pupils a multifaceted learning experience, so that we produce a multidimensional individual. The entire gamut of activities which helps students develop thinking skills is drawn from the works and philosophies of Edward de Bono, Howard Gardener and Benjamin Bloom who believed that thinking skills and creativity are teachable skills; including approaches which aim to encourage students to challenge themselves with problem- solving tasks and engage in an activity for a meaningful amount of time without the disruptions of regimented class schedules.

Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities form an integral part of IES MVM as it believes in fostering a well-rounded education. The curriculum at IES MVM includes a number of co and extra- curricular activities that all students are expected to participate in

  • Elocution
  • Quiz
  • Music
  • Gymnastics
  • Quilling and Ceramic painting
