The Indian Education Society (IES), established in 1912, is one of Maharashtra’s largest and most respected educational trusts. Founded by visionary educators and social reformers, IES has been committed to providing quality education and nurturing responsible citizens for over a century.
Today, IES manages 64 educational institutions across Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Sindhudurg, offering education from Pre-Primary to Higher Education in both English and Marathi mediums. With a student strength of nearly 70,000, the society is supported by a dedicated team of qualified educators.
IES operates schools, a junior college, and renowned professional institutions, including the College of Architecture and College of Management and Research. The organization has consistently embraced innovation through e-learning, digital libraries, technology-enabled education, and modern academic streams.
Recognizing its outstanding contribution to education, the Government of Maharashtra honored IES as an “Ideal Educational Institution” in 2002. The society proudly celebrated its Centenary Year in 2017, marking over 100 years of educational excellence.
