A school is a place where one learns about the totality, the wholeness of life. Academic excellence is absolutely necessary, but a school includes much more than that. It is a place where both the teacher and the taught explore not only the outer world, the world of knowledge, but also their own thinking, their own behaviour.
The pre-design study included understanding user groups and stakeholders in design. The primary user group being school children encouraged me to approach the design from a child’s perspective. How a child views thing differently. than an adult because of their naive curiosity. The design encourages children to develop their curious nature and create a sense of play in the spaces in the design.
