IES Pre Primary & Primary Staff celebrated Women's day on 8th March. The programme started with a speech on the importance of the day and the need to celebrate it. The teaching staff had a healthy discussion on the changing role of women in today's scenario. The achievements of upcoming female role models from every walk of life were projected and applauded. Games were also organised. Over all it was a day where in the spirit of womanhood was cherished and celebrated.
IES English Medium Primary School celebrated Shiv Jayanti with great zeal and enthusiasm. Std IV students presented the whole life story of Shivaji in dramatization form. Right from the birth of Shivaji to death of Afzalkhan, the bravery and charismatic leadership of Shivaji was highlighted. Along with skit, stories, speech and powada were also presented by the students.
On the occasion of Jagtik Marathi Basha Din, a special assembly was held. Students were explained the importance of Marathi language. “Lable Amhas Bhagya Bolto Marathi” was played for students. Marathi handwriting competition was organized for all students from Std I to std IV. On the very same day result was declared.

The Chief Guest of the day was Prof. Dr. Ravikumar Chandupatla (MBA. PHD) and guest of Honour was Shri. Bhharatji Amesar (President – Shewaram Foundation) Shri Vrajesh Anand, Shri Gajendra Pipada were the other dignitaries who graced the occasion with their charming presenceThe projects displayed by Primary students showcased the concept of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle where as the projects displayed by Pre Primary Section emphasized on providing Eco friendly Nature through plants & animals.
IES Mulund English Primary School celebrated Makar Sankranti with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. Kids were explained the importance of the harvest festival and how it is celebrated in different states of India. Std I & II students painted pictures of colourful kites using their imagination. Std III & IV students made colourful kites in the class.
IES Kindergarten, Balodyan& English Medium Primary School held their Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on 21st December 2018 with zeal and enthusiasm. The chief guest of the day was Sardar Tara Singh (MLA) and Guest of Honour was Prof B. K. Giri (Gymkhana Incharge & Sports Director at KET’S V.G. Vaze College). Shri Eknath Walke (Incharge - IES Mulund Secondary English & Marathi School), Mr. Gajendra Pipada (Speak Out Editor), Mr. Canet Walker & Ms. Richa Shetty (Representatives of Hindustan Times HT Media) were also among the dignitaries.
Our School celebrated National Unity Day which was held on 31st October 2018 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. A special Assembly was held in the school auditorium. Information about the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and why he was called as the “Iron man of India” was explained to the students. The significance of celebrating National Unity Day was also explained in details. The students and staff of IES English medium Primary School pledged to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the Nation.
A Prabhat feri was organized on 2nd October. Students made placards of social messages and spread the message of Swaccha Bharat in the whole Mulund area. Over all these programmes were a huge success in imbibing the maxims of cleanliness, dignity of labour and equality among all economic strata of people in the young minds of our school.
As per the circular issued by Human Resources Development Ministry, Our school celebrated 26th September to 2nd October was as “नई तालीम“ Day. Various programmes were conducted for the children in the school itself to make the children aware of the significance of the event. Cleanliness drive was initiated and all children enthusiastically cleaned the whole campus including the classroom, passage, staircase and lawn. A visit to the Nana Nani park was also organized wherein children were shown various plants and their importance. Teachers also showed them various tools and equipment like screw driver, forceps and explained them their uses. Along with it students were also shown various household things like cycle, cooker, iron and were made aware of their uses and also the precautions needed while handling these things. Students were taken on field trip to school office and bank to show them the working condition of various offices and learn the interaction between the consumers and employees.
As Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi has declared September as National Nutrition Month with the motive of Ensuring focused interventions on addressing under nutrition; IES Mulund English Medium Primary School conducted a lecture on “NUTRITION” for parents. Ms. Minal Shah, R.D. Senior Nutrition Therapist conducted the workshop. The guidance lecture turned out to be helpful for parents.
A project on Gokulashtami depicting the birth of lord Krishna was displayed at the entrance. A special assembly was held to mark the birthday of the deity. The significance of the festival and the story behind it was explained to the students during assembly. The victory of goodness over evil was embodied in the minds of the students. Children sang songs related to Gokulashtami.
Raksha Bandhan and Narali Pournima was celebrated with great pomp. Children dressed up in colourful dresses looked pretty and were in festive mood. They tied rachis on the wrist and promised to take care of each other. The importance of Raksha Bandhan was explained to them.
On the occasion of Nag Panchami, a project was displayed on Nagpanchami. Students were informed about the importance of the day. Activity where in snakes were made from clay was conducted.
A Dindi was organized from the school to the Trungeshwar temple in Mulund on account of Ashadhi Ekadashi. Children were dressed in their traditional dress to suit the occasion. A grand palkhi procession was led by the students dressed as Vithal-Rukhmani, Saints and Warkaris. The Principal and teachers dressed up in 9 wari saree also joined the festive mood of the students. The whole atmosphere reverberated with the chants of ‘Vithal Vithal' and ‘Jai hari Vithal’.
To make them feel welcome and happy a Mickey Mouse mascot was arranged. The mascot interacted with kids and shook hands with them. He explained to the students how school days are the best days of life and attending school is essential. He also performed dances on songs thereby making the kids realize that school is fun and they can look forward to it every day.

To appreciate and value the importance of gurus in our Guru Pournima was celebrated. Students appreciated teachers by offering flowers and seeking their blessing. The staff also offered a bouquet to Smt. Sandhya Bhalerao (Headmistress of IES Balodyan, K.G & English Medium Primary School. Mulund) and sought her blessing. She wished the staff and students as well by acknowledging and appreciating their efforts.
International Yoga day was celebrated by organizing a mass yoga session for all students from Std I to Std IV. Smt. Vaishali Marathe (Yoga Teacher) was invited for conducting the session. Students were first explained the importance of yoga and its benefits on our overall health. Smt. Vaishali Marathe demonstrated various asanas and instructed the students to perform them with great skill.
