    Venue: Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya, Gamdevi

    Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai and Mani Bhavan Sangrahalaya, had organized Intra School cultural competition 2017-2018. The competition had wide range of events for the students and teachers to cater to all interests and tastes.

    The students of our school had actively participated in the various competitions. The various events included:

    Drawing Competition.
    Singing Competition (Group as well as individual event).
    Recitation Competition.
    Elocution Competition.
    Story Telling Competition.
    One Act Play – Drama.
    Mono Acting.

    Venue: Chiplun, Dist. Ratnagiri

    Gargi Pandit won 2nd position for Artistic Gymnastics Girls Under-14 floor exercise event.

    She also won 2nd position for Artistic Gymnastics Girls Under-14 Table Vault (g.575) event.

    And she also secured 2nd position for Artistic Gymnastics Girls Under-14 All round championship (27.625) event.

  • RYSI award (Raman Young Scientist Innovation Award)


    27th February 2018

    Shlok Darekar (5th Marigold) had been selected for RYSI award (Raman Young Scientist Innovation Award). His project was amongst the top 100 projects presented across India.

    Final round was held on 4th March at Bangalore.
    School received RYSI Excellence Certificate.

    Gargi Pandit secured 1st place (category Under 12) in team event in the 11th Artistic Gymnastics Championship organised by Mumbai City Gymnastic Association affiliated to Maharashtra Amateur gymnastic Association.

    Gargi Pandit represented Mumbai city, secured 2nd place in 52nd Artistic Gymnastics State Championship organised by Nashik District Gymnastic Association and Nashik Municipal Corporation.

    Event: Team championship. Category: Junior Under-15. Marks obtained: 166.15.

  • CFBP - NHAF Inter School Art Competition 2018


    3rd February 2018

    Venue: J.J. School of Art

    NHAF's (Niki Hingad Art Foundation) has joined hands with CFBP (Council for Fair Business Practices) to promote fair business practices and support the consumer movement by organising painting competition and seminars on consumer issues and thus bring awareness among the consumers.

    52 Manikeans participated in this competition.

    Participating students were expected to prepare a recent artwork on given theme.

    c) Consumer rights
    d) Abstract consumer painting

    IES MANIK VIDYAMANDIR Under 10 boys MSSA 1st Match against ARYA VIDYAMANDIR, Bandra ended up with goal less draw.

    Little Manikeans gave up their best and 2 chances were missed as the ball kicked and bang the goalpost and went out.

    N.L.Dalmia High School, organized Annual Inter School Cultural and Sports Fest “ATHENA” that was scheduled on 4th and 5th of November 2017. This competition had a wide range of events for the students to cater to all interests and tastes.

    The students participated very enthusiastically in almost all the events. There were 7 main events organized by the host school and various sub events under each main event of which our school participated in 27 sub events out . The participants were asked to report at 7.00 a.m. on both the days.

    After the opening ceremony on both the days the students were asked to move to their classes allocated to them at the time of registration. There were various events linked one after the other. The events in which our school participated were:

    At the end of the tournament all we need to do is review every stroke and every move, seeing what I can learn from it.

    With a draw (2-2) against St. Anthony High School, the league for the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Cup comes to an end. Giving them a tough fight the goals were scored by Swayam Shetty and Parth Sawant. With this end we have been placed at the 10th position in the chart in the Top 16 Schools

    I.E.S. Mabikeans believe in winning against themselves. This win was over Cardinal Gracias High School, Bandra by 6-1 for the Qualifier Round.
    The goals were scored by Soham Khochare (1), Parth Sawant (2), Sarthak Ragade (2) and Ayush Bhagat (2). Sarthak Ragade 2nd time again awarded the Man of the Match.
    Indeed a marvellous win.

  • TCS IT WIZ – Mumbai

    Venue: Manik Sabagraha, Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai.

    TCS IT Wiz 2017, a ‘knowledge initiative’ and is the biggest inter-school IT quiz in India for students of class 8-12, organised by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The quiz aims to build awareness and emphasize the importance of IT skills, and enable students look at technology through an innovative perspective.

    In today’s society and economy, IT plays an integral role and is a key enabler for success in diverse fields. The quiz platform works as an effective supplement to the computer science and IT field, as most of the questions researched for the quiz are beyond the academic areas, compelling the students to look beyond the text books. The quiz works as an alternate learning tool for students in an outside classroom environment.

    Venue: At the school campus of Universal high school

    Universal High School, organized an Inter School Competition “RENAISSANCE” a cornucopia of literacy and cultural competitions. The competition was open for the students of Grade I to X.

    Renaissance is hosted to provide an open platform to the ingrained talents, subdued potential and diverse faculties of exuberant participants.

    This competition brought about the revival of art, music, literature and talent of not only the students but also of the teachers.

    The students and teachers participated very enthusiastically in almost all the events.

    Venue: Lions Clubs, Milan subway.

    Another feather in I.E.S. Manik Vidyamandir cap. And the celebrations continue with another victory for I.E.S. Manikeans in Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Cup under Junior School Category. The second match of the Knock Out Stage was won against Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School, Andheri by 3-0.
    The goals were scored by Ayush Bhagat (2), Swayam Shetty (1), Swayam being from under 14 boys team played for under 16 boys category today scoring a goal and Ayush Bhagat awarded as the Man of the Match
    Sheer dedication has proven to be appropriate to set a benchmark and Manikeans have always given their best to raise the benchmark. Indeed a joyful victory.

    Kalavikas Student’s Competition was conducted on 12th August 2017 at IES Padmakar Dhamdhere English Medium Primary School, Hindu colony, Dadar West.

    Students from Grade 1 to Grade 4 had participated in various competitions such as Raja Ravi Varma Drawing Competition, Recitation, Collage, Reading, Mono-acting, Solo singing, Group singing, Storytelling, Kathakathan etc.

    MSSA Football Under 16 boys - First match of the knock out stage

    The key is not the will to win. Everybody has the will. It is the will to prepare to win that is important.

    It is rightly said, "Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong. "I.E.S. Manikeans practice until they can't get it wrong.

    Their practice has borne the fruit in the form of their win today in the first match of the Knock Out Stage against RN Podar International School, SantaCruz by 4-1.

    The goals were scored by Ayush Bhagat from Std X and Soham Khochare from Std IX. Both scored two goals each.

  • Annual Inter School Cultural and Sports Fest “Odyssey” 2017

    This fete had a wide range of events for the students to cater to all interests and tastes. The dress code for the first day is RED and for the second day is BLUE.

  • AISM Annual Inter School Declamation Contest


    8th Sept. 2017

    Venue: Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania High School, Thane.

    Around 78 schools had participated i. e. 156 students had enrolled for the Declamation held on 8th September at. Two students, Nihareeka Acharya and Riddhi Atre had represented IES Manik Vidyamandir. The students were given the topic beforehand. They had to prepare the speeches given by eminent personalities.

    20 students won the elimination round. The winners of the final round will represent at the National level to be conducted by ASISC.

    I.E.S. Manikeans have climbed this ladder of success by winning the Semi Finals against St. Xavier's School & Junior College, Vile Parle by 2-0. It was scored by *Ayush Bhagat* from Std. X and the team is now through to the Finals.

    It's not how you start but it's how you finish. You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.

    I.E.S. Manikeans prepare to win and their expectations fulfil with every step they take to prepare themselves.

    They proved how well they prepared by winning against AVM School, Bandra by 1-0. It was scored by Jatin Dabholkar from Std X. They have made it to the Semi Finals for the DSO Tournament.

    With this they prove that, "Winning isn't everything, it is the only thing."

  • MSSA Under 16 boys Football Team Last Match of the league

    Wishes come true and the resolutions are fulfilled. Its rightly said God helps those who help themselves.

    This victory is truly the blessing of Lord Ganesh arrival. The win was against Yashodham High School. The goal was scored by Pratyush Naik Grade X.

    Being the last match of the league we qualified for the Knock out Stage amongst top 50 teams.

    Indeed a well deserved victory.

    I.E.S. Manikeans too made their instincts work for a one day tournament named FOOT ROAR held at Panvel. Among the 12 teams league, Manikeans stood 5th against all the other professional clubs teams. Sarthak Ragade from Grade X scored a hat trick. Soham Khochare from Grade IX and Pratyush Naik from Grade X scored 1 goal each.

    Indeed it is rightly said, Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM).
