Mapping Divisive Landscapes

The process of mapping is a sensitive approach to break the barrier between the architect and the human geography to achieve more sensitive and sustainable solutions. Using Narrative mapping as a tool to empathetically understand contexts as a composite of human engagements and desires, this module attempts to sensitise ourselves as future architects. It used the keywords Caste, Class, Region, Religion and Nation as a springboard to understand this social landscape.

Conducted over a span of 6 days, the students wrote, designed and compiled 5 books as a deliverable of the workshop.
