City of Dreams. Maximum City. The City That Never Sleeps. India’s Financial Capital. Gateway Of India. These are just some of Aamchi Mumbai’s nicknames. And in spite of having so many monikers and visitors alike, Mumbai does not present itself as a brand as well as other global cities.
14 students of Semester V sought to change this as walking, designing, prototyping and marketing all came together as a heady mix in this week-long elective. The students captured the soul of four precincts – Banganga, Juhu, Powai and Shivaji Park, and created incredible merchandise that was available for everyone to purchase – and was a superhit on the final day!
This elective was conducted by Ashwin Tahiliani, an urban designer and visual storyteller from ATLASkeeda.
