The school campus came alive with joy and cultural diversity on 27th August as the children and staff celebrated the twin festivals of Rakshabandhan and Narali Pournima.

The event was a beautiful blend of traditional customs, creativity, and environmental awareness. The festive spirit was elevated by the students, who arrived dressed in beautiful traditional outfits and authentic, colourful Koli attire.

Celebrating the pure bond between brothers and sisters, the children crafted beautiful DIY rakhis by themselves. They tied these sacred threads to one another, exchanging promises of lifelong love, support, and protection.

Marking the auspicious occasion of Narali Pournima, the assembly focused on the coastal tradition of offering prayers to the Sea God (Lord Varuna) for safety and prosperity. Teachers conducted a special interactive session explaining the vital importance of our oceans.

The celebration reached a high-energy peak as all the children and staff members enthusiastically danced together to lively, traditional Koli folk songs.

To wrap up the joyful day on a delicious note, the school management distributed traditional coconut fudge to all the excited students.

The KG section transformed into the most happening place in the school on 22nd August as NMKG celebrated Monsoon Mania. The day was packed with vibrant, rain-themed activities thoughtfully designed around early childhood development goals.

The highlight of the event was the incredible creative headgear made and worn proudly by the students across all grades :

• Mini KG: Adorned with beautiful peacocks and bright yellow corn headgear.
• Junior KG: Showcased the skies with clouds, rainbows, raindrops, and lightning bolts.
• Senior KG: Brought nature to life with fascinating rainy creatures like frogs and snails.

The festival successfully integrated key learning domains through hands-on monsoon experiences:
• Physical Development: The children participated in a dynamic movement session where they had to walk or enact movements that matched the specific headgear they were wearing.
• Socio-Emotional Learning: During a warm circle time session, the young learners openly expressed themselves by sharing their absolute favourite things about the rainy season.
• Cognitive Skills: Teachers conducted interactive visual sessions to help students easily understand the science behind the water cycle and how rain forms.
• Language & Vocabulary: The classrooms buzzed with language games aimed at introducing and reinforcing new monsoon-themed vocabulary words.
• Aesthetic Expression: The celebration reached its energetic peak with a joyful rain dance, allowing the children to freely express their rhythm, coordination, and pure happiness.
Monsoon Mania successfully blended natural curiosity with academic milestones, leaving the children with unforgettable memories of the rainy season.

A vibrant special assembly was held on 14th August to celebrate India's Independence Day. The KG section was beautifully decorated in shades of saffron, white, and green, setting a perfect patriotic backdrop for the event.

• Our "tiny tots" took centre stage, enthusiastically remembering the brave national heroes who sacrificed their lives for India's freedom.

• The children filled the air with melody and national pride by singing sweet, rhythmic patriotic songs.

• Teachers conducted a special interactive session, explaining the concept of freedom and the importance of Independence Day using simple language.

• The young learners participated in a hands-on drawing activity where they learned how to draw the Indian Tricolour flag.

During the drawing activity, teachers explained the significance of each color on our national flag.

The event concluded with a collective sense of pride and joy, successfully instilling a love for the nation in the minds of the school's youngest learners.

Lokmanya Tilak Remembrance Day Observed at NMKG

Navi Mumbai: The children of NMKG paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, Shri Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, on 3rd August.

The young students actively participated in a special commemorative session to honour Tilak’s monumental sacrifices and his invaluable contributions to India's freedom struggle. Through an engaging storytelling session, the children shared inspiring anecdotes from his life, reflecting on his fierce patriotism and his timeless slogan, "Swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it!"

The event successfully introduced the next generation to the values of courage, unity, and national pride.

Little Chefs At Work: NMKG Hosts Delicious Corn Bhel Culinary Activity

The classrooms of NMKG were filled with tempting aromas and excited chatter as our talented little chefs took part in a fun, hands-on Corn Bhel making activity.

The culinary session was designed to introduce the children to the joys of flame-free cooking while building essential life skills. Dressed in their chef roles, the enthusiastic students mixed sweet corn, finely chopped vegetables, dynamic spices, and a dash of lemon juice to create their very own mouth-watering Corn Bhel.

The activity beautifully integrated several developmental milestones for the young learners:

• Fine Motor Skills: Chopping soft ingredients (with child-safe tools), scooping, sprinkling, and mixing.

• Sensory Exploration: Discovering different textures, vibrant colours, and sweet, tangy, and savoury flavours.

• Social & Emotional Growth: Building a sense of independence and accomplishment by preparing their own food.

The absolute highlight of the day was the grand finale, where all the children sat together to relish their delicious, healthy creations and enjoyed the treat along with their friends, practicing the values of sharing and table manners.

A Walk on the Farm at NMKG!

Our little learners spent the month of July exploring the wonderful world of Farm Animals through an incredible mix of academic, sensory, and creative activities!

Here is a glimpse into our experiential learning journey:

• FLN & Communication: During our FLN sessions, children confidently spoke about their favorite farm animals, expressing why these animals are important and how we must care for them with kindness.

• Little Chefs at Work: We took learning to the next level! Our tiny tots experienced how we get dairy from farm animals by setting curd and churning fresh butter. The best part? Enjoying their handmade delicious butter spread on rotis! 😋

• Creativity Unlocked: Fine motor skills were in full swing as children traced, colored, and sculpted farm animals out of clay.

• Gross Motor Fun: The campus filled with laughter as children enjoyed a energetic Animal Walk game, mimicking the movements of their favorite farm friends. [1]

• Bonus Art: The creativity extended to the skies and waters with beautiful paper-tearing and finger-painting activities to create vibrant fish and parrots! What a month of pure joy, learning, and delicious memories!

"Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara..." 🙏

On 29.07.2026, our tiny tots beautifully celebrated the sacred bond of Guru Pournima, diving deep into our rich traditions:

The children explored the ancient Guru-Shishya Parampara and compared it with our modern day education system. In a heartwarming moment, children expressed that their parents are their very first Gurus, followed by their beloved school teachers.

To honor their mentors, the little ones lovingly offered flowers and bowed to seek blessings from their Gurus. It was a day filled with reverence, love, and values that will last a lifetime. Happy Guru Pournima to all the educators and parents guiding our future stars!

🚩 Aashadhi Ekadashi Celebration at NMKG! 🚩

"Vithu cha gajar harinamacha jhenda rovila..." 🎶

Our campus turned into a divine, joyful Pandharpur as our tiny Warkaris celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi with immense devotion!

The little ones danced freely to rhythmic bhajans and worshiped God Vithoba and Rakhumai. A wonderful parent volunteer shared a moving abhang and the story of Bhakt Pundalik, helping children beautifully understand the importance of loving and respecting parents. The celebration concluded with a vibrant Dindi procession, filling the entire air with pure happiness, chants, and spiritual energy.

We officially kicked off the New Academic Year 2026-27 on 23rd June 2026 with a deeply moving and joyful Father's Day Celebration! The event was specially designed to bring fathers and their children closer together and share moments of pure warmth.

Fathers and children participated in a variety of engaging, age-appropriate bonding activities that filled the room with laughter and connection. The emotional highlight of the day came when a few fathers stepped forward to share their personal, touching experiences about fatherhood and their children. To make the day even more unforgettable, our little ones gifted their dads cute, handmade cards that they had lovingly prepared. Both fathers and children thoroughly enjoyed the day, leaving with beautiful memories and tighter bonds.

Healthy habits start early! On 22nd June 2026, our kindergarten celebrated Yoga Day with great joy. Special resource persons from "Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir" joined us to conduct a lively session designed specifically for young children.

The event featured interactive yoga exercises and catchy related songs that kept our little ones engaged. All the children enthusiastically participated, stretching their bodies and calming their minds. We are grateful for such wonderful community partnerships that enrich our students' wellbeing!

Our kindergarten corridors and classrooms came alive with joy and color as we officially welcomed our littlest learners back to school! The school was transformed into a wonderland, beautifully decorated with vibrant pictures and cuddly soft toys to make our students feel right at home.

To kick off the celebration, our Kindergarten In-charge, Mrs. Anagha K. Anaokar, along with our wonderful teachers, personally greeted arriving families and distributed beautiful stick puppets to the children.

While the students explored their exciting new environment, teachers met with parents to share essential general instructions regarding school rules and regulations. Thank you to all our families for partnering with us to ensure a smooth, safe, and successful school year ahead!
