National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February to commemorate the discovery of prominent scientist CV Raman. Students were briefed about the importance of National Science Day through a presentation and also highlighted the theme of 2021 “Future of STI: Impacts on Education, Skills, and Work. The main objective of National Science Day was to bring awareness to students about the importance of science in our daily lives and to encourage people by popularizing Science and Technology.

IES Manik Vidyamandir celebrated National Science Day on Sunday, 28th February 2021. The theme of National Science Day for the year 2021 was ‘FUTURE OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ANDINNOVATIONS: IMPACT ON EDUCATION SKILLS AND WORK’. A PPT was shared with students which explained the history, objectives and the theme of National Science Day 2020 and 2021.

27/02/2021 : Marathi Divas
Marathi Bhasha Diwas was celebrated in honour of the Marathi language and birth anniversary of Dyanpeeth award winner poet late V.V. Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj. Marathi being the official language of the State of Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration was to promote the Marathi culture among the Manikeans. I.E.S. Manik Vidyamandir celebrated online Marathi Diwas on Google Classroom. Various programs such as Marathi Diwas introduction, poem of Kusumagraj, Labhale Amhas Bhagya song were shown in it. Students enthusiastically participated in the Marathi diwas activity that had been sent on Google classroom.

27/02/2021 : Marathi Divas
On Saturday 27th February 2021 IES Manik Vidyamandir virtually celebrated Marathi Divas on Google Classroom. It started with the introduction of Marathi Diwas through a beautiful poem on the renowned poet Kusumagraj. Age-appropriate activities were given to the students of KG to Grade – X on Google classroom.

21/02/2021 : Annual Exhibition - MVM VIBRANCE - A Prism of Hope.
Technology, when used appropriately is a very creative tool for learning. It helps young children to grow and absorb actively. They learn to use simple technological tools to play, learn and solve problems. With schools shut due to the pandemic, celebrations have shifted online, with manifold events being planned digitally. IES Manik Vidyamandir hosted a virtual Annual Exhibition - MVM VIBRANCE where students from nursery to grade 9 showcased their talents through amazing performances. Students were divided into different subject - teams like PE, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Commercial Studies, Hindi, Marathi, Art, and SUPW. Guided by their teachers, the students came up with creative and unique ways to exhibit each topic. In this exhibition, the students shared their creative ideas and solutions to everyday challenges through their innovative working / non-working models, exhibits, projects, and presentations supported by reports, display, and research findings.

21/02/2021 : Annual Exhibition
I.E.S Manik Vidyamandir celebrated its Annual Exhibition, a virtual tour of exhibits and performanceson 21st February, 2021 entitled Vibrance- A Prism of Hope. The varied display included Science experiments, asanas to boost immunity, discussions of the history of pandemic, news bulletin on the spread of the virus, impact of Covid 19 on Indian Economy, practical application of Maths concepts, innovative art and craft work like mask making, hand gloves, poster making, t-shirt painting, creating comic book, coding games etc. It was overwhelming to see the students talk about the pandemic as a global issue and not just specific to our region.

19/02/2021 : Shiv Jayanti
On Friday 19th Feb 2021 IES Manik Vidyamandir celebrated Shiv Jayanti online. The program started with an introduction to Shiv Jayanti followed by a speech. The stories Swarajyachi Shapath and Sawlya Tandel were shown along with a dance performance. Many activities such as Fort making activity, display of different pictures of Shivaji Maharaj, and various songs were played in the video.

The students of I.E.S Manik Vidyamandir celebrated Shivaji Jayanti on 19th February,2021. The virtual celebration started with an introductory speech on Shivaji Jayanti. The students participated in various programmes such as story telling, dance on Shivaji Maharaj, speech on Tanaji Malusare, fort making activity, information on Raigad, and song on Shivaji Raje.The event was an initiative to make the students understand the significance of the festival through various activities,respect and learn the importance of Shivaji Jayanti.
