In the new normal of online schooling during the pandemic, I.E.S Manik Vidyamandir celebrated the 72nd Republic Day virtually with students, parents and teachers. The webcast included flag hoisting and cultural events like patriotic songs, dances, speeches in Hindi and English and recitation of poems.

26/01/2021 : Republic Day
Republic Day was celebrated keeping the Patriotic theme in mind. The programme started with a Virtual Flag hoisting followed by the National Anthem. Children participated in an English speech, a Hindi Poem Recitation and a Marathi Poem Recitation. Some children performed dances to patriotic songs like Maa tujhe salaam and Teri miti main mil java. We also had a Medley of Patriotic songs, which brought out the essenceof love and duty to the Motherland.

23/01/2021 : Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti
23rd January marks the 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, who was among the most ferocious freedom fighters of the country. A Presentation was made to make students aware of how important a role he played in India's freedom struggle.His birthday will be remembered as ‘Parakram Divas’to inspire the people of the country, especially the youth, to act with fortitude in the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervour.

17/01/2021 : Annual Concert (Pre-primary, Grade 1 and 2)
The Primary section of IES’s ManikVidyamandir hosted the Annual Concert 2019-20 on 17th January, 2020.The theme of this event was “National Achievers”. The students enacted different incidents from the lives of National Achievers like Shiv Nadar, APJ Abdul Kalam, Kalpana Chawla, Sudha Chandran and Sachin Tendulkar. The skits were interspersed with lively dance and melodious tunes.

14/01/2021 : Makar Sankranti
The festival of Makar Sankranti was celebrated with great enthusiasm at I.E.S Manik Vidyamandir on 14th January 2021. Students explained the importance of the festival and spoke about Makar Sankranti celebrations in India and worldwide. The Harvest festival was further marked with song and dance performances by students. Kite making which is an integral part of the celebration was also explained through a presentation.

12/01/2021 : National Youth Day
National Youth Day was celebrated on 12th January,2021 to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda- a social reformer and philosopher. Students were briefed about the importance of National Youth Day through a presentation. The main objective behind the celebration was to propagate the philosophy and the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

10/01/2021 : International Hindi Diwas
World Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 every year, marking the anniversary of first World Hindi Conference which was held in 1975. As 10th January was Sunday, we celebrated Hindi Diwas on 11th January. The primary section teachers shared the video showcasing the importance. of this day. Various activities were conducted, like:
Grade 1 & 2 – wrote their names with the meanings
Grade 3 to 5 – wrote doha / Kavita adding their names in it. -
10/01/2021 : International Hindi Diwas
The students of I.E.S Manik Vidyamandir celebrated Hindi Diwas on 10th January,2021. The teachers spoke about the importance of the language and the initiative that should be taken to promote the Hindi language ona global level. The event was an initiative to make the students understand the significance of the language through various activities, respect and learn the importance of our National Language – ‘Hindi’. The students took part in activities that were conducted on Google Classroom.

I.E.S. Manik Vidyamandir celebrated its Annual Day, a virtual extravaganza of talent and technique on 3rd January,2021. This year the theme for Annual Day was ‘Achievement-International Achievers’ which was presented with great zeal and enthusiasm by the students of grade 3 to 9. Students enacted incidents from the lives of six world famous achievers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Steve jobs, Aung San Suu Kyi, Malala Yousafzai, Nelson Mandela and Coco Chanel. The journey of the international achievers from a common man to a renowned person in the society was depicted through a blend of drama, music and dance.
