CISCE Athletics Competition 2023-24 was held on 25th September to 27th September 2023 at Priyadarshini Park Nepean Sea Rd, Malabar Hill, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400006.

19/09/2023 : Ganapati Celebrations 2023
Idol of Lord Ganesha was welcomed with a lot of fervour by the Manikeans. The idol was installed in the beautifully decorated Bio Lab on 18th September, 2023. The students danced and cheered on the sounds of drum beats and cymbals. Students of all the classes were taken to the Bio lab to seek blessings of the God of Luck and Prosperity. Ganapati Arti was performed and sweets were distributed to everyone.
A video on Ganesh Chaturthi was shown on 18th September, 2023 after the prayers.
It depicted the Life of Lord Ganesha through a story and the symbols portrayed by Lord Ganesha. -
18/09/2023 : Ganesh Chaturthi 2023

15/09/2023 : Field Trip to Saguna Baug (Std 6 & 7) 2023
The Students of Std. VI and VII went for the field trip to Saguna Baug, Karjat on Friday, 15th September, 2023.
The day was full of fun filled activities that were planned for the children. They were given knowledge about the plants, trees, fishes, oil extraction, honeybees and bee-keeping. They also enjoyed boat and bullock cart riding and Malkhamb show.
The students were actively engaged in the activities and enjoyed a lot.

14/09/2023 : Hindi Diwas 2023
Hindi Divas was celebrated on 14th September, 2023 during school hours. A video was shown in the class giving information of the day. The following programmes were organised for students:
Std Topic 6 Author introduction : picture and information about an author or writer: Munshi Premchand, Sudarshan, Mahadevi Verma, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan) 7 Story writing (any story from Panchatantra) 8 Autobiography Writing (Money, Bread, Bird, Historical Building) 9 Proposal Writing (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) 10 All the students participated in the program with great enthusiasm. Aditri Mayekar from Std 8 participated in the said Tournament.

14/09/2023 : Hindi Diwas 2023
On 14th September, 2023, Hindi Diwas was celebrated in IES Manik Vidyamandir. To promote the National Official Language Hindi, teachers had organized activities for students from Std. I – Std. X. Students were given topics for the activity. The topics were:
Std. I – Vowel (To write any one Vowel and decorate the page)
Std. II – My Self (Write four lines on the same)
Std. III – My Favourite food (To stick picture and write five lines on the same)
Std. IV – Save Water (To draw and colour the picture and to write the slogan)
Std. V - My Favourite Festival (To stick the picture and write five lines on the same)A video on Hindi Diwas was shown on 14th September, 2023 after the prayers. It depicted the importance of Hindi language as India’s identity.

05/09/2023 : Teachers Day 2023
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th September 12, 2023. Secondary students (Std. 6 to Std. 10) had organized a programme for Teachers, where students performed dances, had prepared a drama with humour, sang song for teachers and played quiz where Daisy Class teachers were competing with Marigold class Teachers. Satya Narayan Pooja was also organized followed by Lunch for teachers.

05/09/2023 : Teachers Day & Satyanarayan Puja 2023
IES MVM organized a wonderful Teacher’s Day celebration on 5th September, 2023 during the school hours. An interesting video was shown to the children followed by a Card Making Activity for your favourite teacher. The school had also arranged a Satyanarayan Puja to seek blessings of the deity.

Inter house Hindi elocution competition for Std. 6 to 8 was held on 23rd August, 2023 in the school premises during school hours.

02/09/2023 : Grandparents’ Day Celebration 2023
Grandparent’s Day Celebration was held on 2nd September, 2023 at IES Pracharya B.N Vaidya Auditorium, Dadar Hindu Colony. The Chief Guest of the programme was Mrs.Anuraddha Kolhatkar. Children performed dances for their Grandparents. Various games and a grand finale dance were organized for them by the teachers.

02/09/2023 : Ankuram 2023
ANKURAM, a festival of competitions among ICSE Schools of Mumbai was held on Saturday, 2nd September 2023.
The competitions were held in English, Hindi and Marathi. There were ‘Just A Minute’ (JAM) competitions in Hindi and English and Storytelling in Marathi. Expert Judges were invited from outside the school – for English, Mrs. Sarabjeet Kaur; for Hindi Mrs. Suman Mishra and for Marathi, Mrs. Siddhi Dhoke.
A total of ten ICSE schools registered for the three events. There were 8 participants in English; 7 participants for Hindi and 8 participants for Marathi.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp and then the participants dispersed to their respective venues. After the competition, participants and visiting teachers assembled for the closing ceremony and the declaration of results. The best three speakers in each language were awarded with a trophy and a certificate. All participants received participation certificates. Principals of participating schools were also given a gift bag for their support of the event.
All the participants appreciated the uniqueness of the festival and said that they looked forward to attending the event every year. The coordinated efforts of the staff of Manik Vidyamandir led to the resounding success of the event.
