31/01/2023 : Std V Assembly – Vasant Panchami
The students of Std. V conducted an Assembly on Tuesday 31st January, 2023. The theme of the assembly was "Vasant Panchami". Students started with a beautiful thought followed by the news for the day. They explained the significance of Vasant Panchami in Marathi and recited a Marathi poem. The assembly ended with a beautiful song on Vasant Panchami.
Prizes were distributed for Marathi Olympiad Competition.

30/01/2023 : Fancy Dress on Community Helpers
No job is big or small and each one through their quality of work and expertise contributes to society... that’s what community living is all about. As a culmination of the topic 'Our Helpers', the children dressed up as different community helpers and spoke eloquently about their jobs; they looked attractive in different roles and felt proud of the mselves.

27/01/2023 : Field Trip to the Fire Station for Sr.KG
Field trips provide students experiential learning opportunities by connecting classroom learning to the real world.
The school organized a field trip for the students to the Fire station at Bandra Reclamation as a part of our EVS curriculum. A brief introduction of the fire station was given by firefighters and information about different situations causing fire was shared. At the fire station, students were introduced to different techniques to extinguish the fire. They even saw a fire drill. The students gained knowledge about different types of fire extinguishers. Firefighters demonstrated different water hoses used for dousing the fire. Different parts of the Fire engine were shown. The children saw how the firemen dress up in their fireproof suit wearing the helmet, boots and face mask with the gas tank to douse the fire. The firemen interacted with our children. The children keenly responded to the number 101 to dial in case of an emergency. The students thanked the firemen for saving lives. It was indeed an enriching learning and fun filled experience for our students. The children learnt how to be courageous and serve the community.

26/01/2023 : Republic Day 74th Celebration
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated on Thursday, 26th January 2023. The programme started with the Flag hosting by the chief guest Mst. Sarvesh Patel (ICSE topper of MVM 2019-20). Aradhya Dalvi of Std. V then enlightened the audience about the significance of Republic Day. This was followed by a Marathi poem. The program was then taken ahead by the Primary students who performed a patriotic dance. Excerpts of the President's speech were read by Mst. Arjun Nabar of Std. V. The students from the Primary Section sang a melodious patriotic song. The programme concluded with the National Song.

25/01/2023 : Republic Day
Republic day is one of the three Indian national holidays and it celebrates the establishment of the Constitution of India which came into effect on January 26, 1950. This year it was the 74 Republic Day celebrations. The children through PowerPoint presentations learned from their teachers about the importance of this day. A project was put up to depict how the flag hoisting ceremony takes place. The children coloured and painted the tricolor flag and waved it proudly. The young soldiers of IES MVM displayed great patriotic enthusiasm and vowed to work for the betterment of the country and fellow country men.

21/01/2023 : Cooking Competition for Grandparents
A No Gas Cooking Competition for Grandparents was organized by the school to involve grandparents in their grandchildren’s lives.
A google form was sent to the grandparents asking them to participate and send their entries. The entries for the participation came in great numbers from the enthusiastic grandparents. This gave the beloved grandparents a platform to present their culinary knowledge and skills. They were judged on the basis of developing and following a recipe, preparation of a dish, and displaying the dish before a judging panel.
The judge Mrs. Kirron Jagasia a nutritionist judged the competition. One hour was allotted to prepare the dishes. The competition was a tough one to judge as there was an array of delicious recipes prepared lovingly. There were healthy salads, Sugarless sweets, healthy dessert options, bhel, refreshing sherbet, sandwiches and healthy chats. They were displayed keeping in mind presentation and hygiene. The grandparents looked cheerful and competitive, too. The judge tasted each dish and interacted with the participants. Prizes were allotted for the winners based on the evaluation parameters. The grandparents were very happy to be a part of this event and to explore their talents.

14/01/2023 : Makar Sankranti
Makar Sankranti is celebrated to mark the end of the winter season and welcome the harvest season. It is celebrated with a lot of zest and zeal with social festivities such as colourful decorations, melas, dances, kite flying, bonfires and feasting. The kindergarten children enjoyed making colourful kites using various art techniques which helped them to develop their fine motor skills and aesthetic sense. We flew these colourful kites high up in the sky on the school ground as well as on the Long Ground. These kites soared as high as our spirits after two years of the covid era where children were home bound.

Students of Std. 6 conducted the assembly in Hindi. The theme for the assembly was Vishwa Hindi Diwas. The students presented a thought for the day, news from different corners of the world, a poem and a hilarious conversation between the two Hindi letters - ‘Ha’ (ह ) and ‘Ma’ (म).

10/01/2023 : Assembly Std I - One festival many names
The Assembly was presented by students of Std-1 Daisy. The topic for the assembly was ‘One Festival, Many Names’. Students first started the assembly with the ‘Thought of the Day’ - "The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals". It was then followed by the News for the day. After the news, few of the students from class I gave information about Makar Sankranti and how it is called and celebrated in different parts of the country.
Assembly on Hindi Vishwa Diwas was also presented by some of the students. Students expressed their views and the importance of Hindi Vishwa Diwas. They also recited beautiful poems in Hindi.
After the Assembly, the result of the Inter house sports competitions were announced and certificates and medals were distributed.

07/01/2023 : Field Trip of Stds I to V Keshav Srushti
An educational trip was organized by our school to KeshavSrushti (Mira – Bhayander Maharashtra). Students got an opportunity to explore: Cultivation of different crops, Different types of plants, solar panel, vermicomposting, rainwater harvesting and Gaushala where 230 cows are taken care off. Students performed activities like Paper recycling where each student actively participated in making hand- made paper. Students learnt about recycling paper.

Students of Std. 9 conducted the assembly. The theme for the assembly was New Year’s Celebration. The students presented a thought for the day, news and gave an insight of how people in the different parts of the world welcomed the beginning of the New Year.

The students of Std. 2 conducted an Assembly on Tuesday 3rd January, 2023. The theme of the assembly was New year resolutions. Students started with a beautiful thought followed by the news for the day. They explained the meaning of a new year resolution and few expressed their new year resolutions. The assembly ended with a beautiful song on Happiness.
