Taking the students into a new environment allows them to work as a team with other classmates outside their normal group. Students of Stds. 9 and 10 were taken to Chandigarh and Amritsar where they got to make lifelong memories with their peers, which is no doubt a fun learning experience in itself.

21/10/2022 : Diwali Celebration
On the occasion of Diwali an informative video was shown to the children on 21st October 2022 depicting the story of Lord Rama, the significance of the five-day celebration of Diwali, the way it is celebrated in different parts of our country. Diwali sweets were distributed to the students.

21/10/2022 : Diwali Celebrations
Diwali, the festival of light is celebrated all over India to welcome Lord Rama back home after his victory over Ravana.
Children painted earthen days and decorated them too.
The children looked lovely in their traditional attire all set to enjoy themselves. Teachers decorated the classrooms, narrated stories on the reason for celebrating Diwali and even educated children about the ill-effects of crackers on the environment, human beings, birds, and animals. Children took an oath and promised that they will celebrate Diwali in a safe and an eco-friendly way.
As a token of love diyas and savouries were distributed to the children. It was a great day for them as they enjoyed the celebration to the fullest. -
15/10/2022 : MVM Diwali Bazaar
The MVM Diwali Bazaar was held on Saturday 15th October as both Jr KG and Sr. KG had the Market set up as a part of their curriculum. This Diwali Bazaar was kept in mind with the festive theme for hands on experience for children to buy and sell products.
Some children along with the parents put up stalls whereas the others came as customers.
They learnt estimation through this market as to how goods are sold and also how cashless payments can be made through the online mode. It was indeed an incredibly knowledgeable experience for our young curious minds!
The parents were overjoyed and participated wholeheartedly as stall keepers. There were diyas for a cause, scrumptious Diwali faral, homemade puran polis, dhokhlas and idlis displaced aesthetically.
There were cupcakes, brownies, and chocolate stalls.
There was hair accessories and decorative articles for display. The parents decorated their own stalls with interesting captions.
The school made a selfie corner to create beautiful memories for the Manik Vidyamandir students and their families and friends.
The parents felt welcomed and involved with the school. The customers bought stuff liberally. What was most endearing were the grandparents who came to the Bazaar to encourage their grandchildren. They expressed their joy and said they felt overwhelmed by this event.
The happy stall keepers, after leaving the premises, expressed their gratitude to the school for giving them a chance to experience this happy occasion with their children and friends.
There was an aura of festive joy as each one left the market with their hands full of goodies and joy in their hearts. We look forward to having many such events in the near future. -
08/10/2022 : Kala Vikas Competition
The Kindergarten students participated in the Kala Vikas Competition on Saturday 8th October 2022 at Padmakare Dhamdhere IES Raja Shivaji School Dadar. They participated in various competitions like singing, group singing, mono acting, picture talk, action song, clay moulding and shloka recitation. In the Group Singing Competition the Kindergarten singers won the first prize and Kiaan Kharote won the second prize for the picture reading competition.

04/10/2022 : Dussehra Celebration and Saraswathi Poojan
Dussehra the festival which gives the message that good always triumphs over evil was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Children came beautifully dressed in colourful traditional attire.
The significance of the festival was told to the children through stories, video clippings and songs.
Children recited shlokas, prayed to Goddess Saraswathi, the Goddess of knowledge, music, and art to bless them with knowledge.
Children had a gala time doing the traditional garba and dandiya dances to the beats of famous songs. -
03/10/2022 : Gandhi Jayanti
The Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was commemorated by showing a video on 3rd October, 2022, to the students of Std VI to X. They got an insight into Gandhiji’s valuable contribution to our country. The video included information about the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi, various movements and campaigns taken up by him like Dandi March and Quit India movement, how his life has inspired many people of our country and our Prime Minister's initiatives in the new education policy, such as the importance of the mother tongue and national languages as well as employment-oriented education.

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated by showing a short videoon 3rd October, 2022 as 2nd October, 2022 was a Sunday. Students got an insight into Gandhiji’s valuable contribution to our country’s freedom. The video included information about the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi. Various movements and campaigns taken up by him like Dandi March and Quit India movement, how his life has inspired people all over the world. The video also highlighted our Prime Minister's initiatives to include Gandhian principles in the New Education Policy, such as the importance of the mother tongue and national languages as well as employment-oriented education.

01/10/2022 : Field Trip for Stds. 6 to 10
An educational trip was organized by our school for Std VI – VIII to Monteria Village, tucked inside a 35 – acre farm in Khalapur about two hours from Mumbai. It took the students back to their roots by recreating a village economy where people depend on each other.
Students were engaged in various hands on activities in the form of Traditional games like spinning a top, marbles, tyre roll, Khaat weaving, Pottery, Bamboo Basket weaving, Farming, Cycling , and pulling water from the well. They also visited the Village Mela, Anganwadi, Barber shop and Blacksmith.
This educational trip helped the students understand the diverse lifestyle of villagers and also provided an opportunity to interact with the local people.
An educational trip was organized by our school for Std IX and X to MSNP (Maharashtra Science and Nature Park), an Eco Biodiversity Park, in Badlapur. Dr. Rajesh Ghangurde, the founder, a Nature conservation expert, a Space Scientist, and an Educator briefle enlightened the students about the animal kingdom, food chains, the food pyramid and the ecosystem. Students performed activities and learnt to make Frog pods, to build a Rustic Bug Motel, to make Seed bombs and a Bird Feeder.
Students also received certificates. -
01/10/2022 : Parent Teacher Individual Meeting
The Meeting was held on 1 October 2022 Saturday from 8:15 am to 12:00 am.
The parents read through the observation book in which competencies of development were mentioned and the child’s development in those parameters were written in detail by the teacher. The parents shared some of their concerns related to academics and behaviour of their wards. Appropriate suggestions and advice were given by the teachers. The parents were content and thanked the school for all its efforts towards the development of their children.
