29/06/2022 : The Final Round of the Inter-House English Debate Competition
The topic for the final round was ‘Horror movies are more popular than Comedies’.
The judges for the Final round were Ms. Simran Motwani and Mr. Nilesh Dhonsekar. The highlight of the event was the question answer round, as questions were answered confidently by both the sides, inviting counter questions which were aptly answered by speakers. Green House was declared as the best house. Certificates were given to the best speakers.

Inter-house Recitation Competition was held on 28th June, 2022 for Primary section. The Competition for Std III – V was held in the stilt area.
The Competition for Std I and II was held in the examination room.

22/06/2022 : The first round of the Inter-House English Debate Competition
Two speakers each from all four houses spoke eloquently on the topic.
The topic for Varahmihir House and Maittreyee House was ‘Smart phones make us stupid.’
The participants from Maittreyee House spoke in favour of the motion while Varahmihir House spoke against the motion.The topic for Aryabhatta House and Gargee House was ‘Rich people should pay more taxes.’
The participants from Aryabhatta House spoke in favour of the motion while Gargee House spoke against the motion.The teams were well prepared and convinced the audience of their beliefs and views. The competition was adjudged by the head of our school Ms. Soma Mukherjee and Secondary coordinator Mr. Rodgar D’Souza. Gargee House and Varahmihir House qualified for the Final Round.

Inter-house Elocution Competition was held on 22nd June, 2022 for Secondary section. Competition for Std VI – VIII was held in the stilt area and the judges for the same were Ms Sunita Rasghania and Ms Dhvani Bajaria.

On the occasion of the International Yoga Day PE Team conducted a special session for each class of 35 mins from Std VI - X. They performed various asanas along with the students and gave the information about the importance of yoga and benefits to lead a healthy life.

Health and wellness is the need of the hour! Yoga is one of the best practices for physical as well as mental wellness. It is important as it ensures a good posture in young children and helps them to channelize their energy and ideas positively. Our little learners at IES, MVM Kindergarten along with their Physical Education teacher performed yoga and breathing exercises on International World Yoga Day. The students enthusiastically performed the asanas under the guidance of the teacher.
A yoga session was conducted for the staff as well to demonstrate good posture, mental wellness and positivity.

20/06/2022 : National Reading Day
The National Reading Day is celebrated every year on 19th June to mark the birthday of P. N. Panicker, the Father of the Library Movement in the Indian state of Kerala. To explain the importance of that day a power point presentation was shown on 20th June in every class from Std - I - V on the CBM, followed by an activity. Students were asked to read any chapter or story from their Literature text book and told to draw their favourite character.

The National Reading Day is celebrated to mark the birthday of P. N. Panicker, the Father of the Library Movement in the Indian state of Kerala. A presentation was shown of National Reading Day in every class from Std - VI - X on the CBM, followed by the activity. Students were asked to read any chapter or story from their Literature text book and write a review for the same.

14/06/2022 : Std V Assembly
The assembly was conducted by Std V Daisy and Marigold. The theme for the same was “The World Blood Donor Day”. It began with the thought of the day followed by the news. The importance of the blood donation was explained by the students, followed by a poem in Hindi and a slogan in Marathi.

06/06/2022 : World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated all over the world on 5th June every year. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to spread awareness among people and children in schools to protect the environment and, to love and save Mother Earth.
The theme this year being “Restoration of the Ecosystem” Children, through a PowerPoint presentation, were presentation, were taught that the environment in which we live can be understood as a blanket that keeps life on the planet safe and sound. It plays a vital role in keeping living things healthy. It provides food, shelter, air, and fulfils all human needs. We must all in our own little ways contribute to it. The Senior KG children drew and coloured a globe with trees, birds, soil and animals artistically’ The Junior KG made the Earth through with clay moulding.
Songs on Mother Earth were shown were shown to the children to reinforce the concept. Let us all nurture and love Mother Earth!

03/06/2022 : Parents’ Orientation Meeting
The school re-opened on 4th June 2022 on a very happy and positive note. Ms Annapurni Venkiteswaran, the KG Coordinator, warmly welcomed the parents for the new academic year 2022-23. She introduced the teachers and got the audience all pepped up for a glorious year in Manikin Manik Vidyamandir. The respective class teachers in the the orientation programme enlightened the parents about the workings of the Kindergarten at Manik Vidyamandir and explained some points by using a powerpoint presentation. Parents were glad to be a part of an this esteemed school institution.
