30/08/2021 : Krishna Janmashtami
The birth of Shri Krishna was celebrated by the students of Kindergarten. It brought together devotion, creativity, enjoyment and fun. The children were excited and enthusiastic to celebrate this festival with their classmates and teachers online. The Sr. KG class prepared the flute of Lord Krishna using different art techniques like drawing, colouring, sticking and paper rolling to develop their fine motor skills. The Jr. KG made a crown/mukut of Lord Krishna by colouring the peacock feathers on it to depict Krishna’s ‘mukut’. They then creatively stuck it with glue. The little ones in the Nursery dabbed paints for the pot of butter. They printed on it attractively with their fingers and later stuck cotton to show the ‘makhan’. For the celebration day children dressed up as Radha, Krishna and gopis. The teachers had instructed the parents to prepare any food item liked by students of white colour like sweet poha, sheera, laddoos, curds or any sweetmeat homemade. Children said their prayers together and ate the food. They watched songs and videos on Krishna together too. These online celebrations will surely go a long way down memory lane for parents, teachers and the students.
