04/06/2021 : World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated all over the world on 5th June every year. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to spread awareness among people and children in schools to protect the environment and, to love and save Mother Earth.
The theme this year being ‘Restoration of the Ecosystem,’ children through a PowerPoint presentation were made aware of how each organism living and non-living are dependent on each other and also raised awareness about the problems that the environment is facing. After watching the presentation a lively discussion ensued on how we can protect, restore and take care of the environment in our own little way. The Senior KG children drew and coloured helping hands to save ‘Mother Earth.’ The Junior KG children drew a circle depicting the Earth and different creatures on it.
Songs on Mother Earth were sent to the children to reinforce the concept. Let us turn things around and make way for a better tomorrow for all of us and for all living beings.
