"Ganapati Bappa Morya, remove obstacles, bring joy!"
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi or Vinayagar Chaturthi, is a Hindu festival celebrating the birthday of Hindu deity Ganesh. The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesha’s murtis privately in homes and publicly on elaborate pandals. To enjoy this festival a video on Ganesh Festival was shown to the students of Std 6 to 10.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi, is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of wisdom and prosperity. The festival is observed with great devotion, marked by the installation of Ganesha idols in homes as well as in beautifully decorated public pandals. To help children experience the joy and significance of this festival, a special video on Ganesh Chaturthi was shown to the students of Std I to X.

26/08/2025 : Ganpati Celebration
The arrival of Ganpati Bappa at our school was celebrated with devotion and joy. Children cheerfully chanted "Ganpati Bappa Morya!”, filling the school with festive energy.
As part of the celebration, students molded their own clay Ganpati idols, expressing their creativity and devotion. Dressed in traditional attire, they offered flowers, recited shlokas, performed aarti, and sang songs in praise of Lord Ganesha. The celebration concluded with prasad distribution and blessings from Bappa.
It was a heartwarming celebration filled with faith, fun, and hands-on learning!

18/08/2025 : Monsoon Hungama Week
The Monsoon Hungama Week celebration brought joy and excitement to our young learners as they welcomed the rains with fun-filled activities. Children enjoyed playing in the rain and enthusiastically participated in various events such as making paper boats and, rainbow wall hangings.
Sr. KG students showcased their understanding of the water cycle through creative models and charts. Teachers also conducted interactive sessions on the uses of water and the importance of water conservation, helping children understand the value of this precious resource.
The highlight of the Monsoon Hungama Week was the vibrant fancy dress event, where children came dressed as elements of the rainy season—raindrops, clouds, frogs, and more. They confidently spoke a few lines about their characters. It was a delightful and enriching experience that combined learning with fun!

"Proud to be Free, Proud to be United!"
On 15th August, IES Manik Vidyamandir celebrated 79th Independence Day with great fervour. The meticulous attention to detail and the vibrant energy of the performances created a captivating display that filled the audience with patriotism. The performances were a tribute to our brave soldiers, martyrs and sportspersons and also showcased our cultural diversity.

Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic spirit. Children prepared colorful tricolor buntings a day prior to decorate the corridors. Patriotic songs were played and the significance of the day was explained through presentation. The celebration filled young hearts with pride and love for the nation.

14/08/2025 : Gopal Kala and Janmashtami
Krishan Janmashtami that denotes the birth of lord Krishna was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students came beautifully dressed as Radha’s, Krishna’s, gopikas and Govinda’s which gave a traditional touch to the celebration. A short film on the birth of Lord Krishna was shown.
The main attraction of the celebration was the mock ‘Dahi Handi’ Children happily participating in it. They joyfully danced to their heart content on the beats of the music. Sweet poha was distributed to the students.

Krishna Janmashtami, also known simply as Krishnashtami, Janmashtami, or Gokulashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. To make students aware about it a video on Gokulahshtami was shown to the students from Std 6 to 10.

14/08/2025 : Assembly [Std V]
On 14th August 2025, the students of Std. V Daisy and Marigold hosted a vibrant assembly on the theme “Independence Day.”The program began with an inspiring Thought for the Day and the latest News Headlines. This was followed by a heart-touching skit and a colorful dance performance showcasing the courage and sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
The assembly came to a close with a stirring patriotic song that filled the atmosphere with pride. The day also witnessed the Sanskruti Kala Darpan Prize Distribution, adding to the spirit of celebration.

08/08/2025 : Narali Poornima and Raksha Bhandan
The tiny tots came beautifully dressed in their traditional attire to celebrated Raksha Bandhan and Narali Poornima with great zeal and enthusiasm. Significance of the festival was shared to the students through Power Point Presentation. Students enjoyed dancing on the tune of koli and Raksha Bhandan songs.
Children enjoyed Rakhi making activity which add flavor to the celebration as they wore the rakhi’s made by them. Coconut barfi was distributed on account of Narali Poornima.

On August 6th and 9th, 1945, the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were devastated by atomic bombs during World War II, resulting in immense loss of life. To help the students to understand the gravity of this event and honor the memories of those who perished, a powerful and a thought-provoking video was shown, emphasizing the importance of peace and the need to learn from history.

"Friendship turns ordinary moments into unforgettable memories."
On Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s Punyatithi, students came dressed as Tilak and paid tribute to the great freedom fighter. They spoke about his life and confidently recited his slogan, “Swarajya is my birth right and I shall have it.” The teachers narrated a story from his life, which encouraged students to follow his ideology.
