“Victory doesn’t always come from strength—it comes from standing up for what is right. That is the message of Dussehra.”
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is a prominent Hindu festival that signifies the triumph of good over evil. It commemorates Lord Rama’s victory over the demon king Ravana, as well as Goddess Durga’s conquest of the demon Mahishasura. Observed on the tenth day of the Hindu month of Ashwin, Dussehra holds deep cultural and spiritual significance. To enhance students’ understanding of the festival’s importance, an informative video on Dussehra was shown to students.

IES MVM participated with 5 students in the DSO Badminton Tournament. All of them played well; however, they were unable to qualify for the next round.

To create awareness about healthy food habits and to encourage students to eat correctly, a Healthy Food Fiesta Week was organized. Various activities such as puppet show, ‘Eat Healthy, Stay Healthy’, talk on healthy food by students and science and sensorial activities were conducted, making the event both engaging and informative for the children.

“A language is not just words, it’s the voice of a nation’s soul.”
Rashtriya Hindi Diwas was celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm. A short video emphasizing the significance of Hindi was presented to the students.Various engaging activities were conducted in the classrooms, including writing and decorating Hindi vowels (SwarLekhan), creatively writing and embellishing one’s own name, naming and adorning the months in Hindi, and composing essays.
All students participated with genuine interest and enthusiasm. These activities not only fostered creativity but also nurtured a deeper appreciation and love for the Hindi language. The celebration concluded with an inspiring message urging everyone to respect and incorporate Hindi into their daily lives.

12/09/2025 : Hindi Diwas Celebration
To honour and create awareness about our official language, Hindi Diwas was observed in school. Teachers presented an informative PowerPoint, while students sang songs and narrated stories in Hindi. The little ones enthusiastically coloured Hindi varmala picture worksheets, making the day both fun and meaningful.

11/09/2025 : Visit to Udyan Ganesh Temple (Jr. KG. & Sr. KG.)
The students of Jr. KG. and Sr. KG. visited the Ganpati temple at Udyan Ganesh, Shivaji Park, to seek blessings of Lord Ganesh. With devotion and joy, they recited shlokas and sang songs for their beloved Ganpati Bappa. The children also made offerings of love and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting the temple together with their teachers and friends.

11/09/2025 : Hindi Inter House Competition
"Let your words be the wings that carry imagination far and wide."
The Hindi Inter-House Competition for primary was held in the Stilt area. Poem Recitation for Std I to III and Story Telling for Std IV and V. Students from all houses participated with great enthusiasm and showcased commendable talent.
The younger students impressed with expressive and lively poem recitations, while the older participants captivated the audience through clear speech and engaging storytelling.
The judges commended the efforts of all participants and awarded certificates to the winners. The event was a success, contributing significantly to building the students’ confidence in Hindi speaking.

IES MVM participated with 3 students in the MSSA Badminton Tournament. All of them played well; however, they were couldn’t qualify for the next round. They certainly learnt the spirit of sportsmanship.

"You don’t need wings to fly — just a shuttle and a dream."
IES MVM participated in the MSSA Badminton Tournament held at the Andheri Sports Complex, Andheri. Three students represented the school across two categories. Aayansh Karandikar (Std. III) participated in the Under-10 Boys category, while Kabir Pagare and Manaswa Sawant (Std. V) competed in the Under-12 Boys category.
The participants displayed excellent effort, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout their matches. Although they were unable to qualify for the next round, their dedication and positive attitude were truly commendable, marking a valuable step forward in their sporting journey.

Students were shown a video to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
A video prepared by the council members was presented, where each teacher was described in short, highlighting their qualities and contributions. So nostalgic!

The school joyfully celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which is observed nationwide as Teachers’ Day. To commemorate the occasion, students were shown an inspiring video on Dr. Radhakrishnan’s life, his contributions to education, and his enduring legacy as a scholar and statesman.
A special video prepared by the council members was also presented, featuring heartfelt descriptions of each teacher. The celebration continued with vibrant cultural performances by students, including dances, songs, poems, and short dramas. These performances showcased the diverse talents of the students and added a festive spirit to the event.

To express their love and respect for their teachers, the students brought handmade cards and fresh flowers as tokens of appreciation. A PowerPoint presentation on the life and contributions of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, in whose honor we celebrate Teachers’ Day, was shown to the children. The celebration helped students understand the importance of teachers in their lives and inspired them to value their guidance and efforts.
