To promote the importance of cleanliness, the kindergarten teachers’ organized a delightful puppet show for the little students. The colorful puppets, lively music, and animated movements, kept the young audience thoroughly engaged. The performance conveyed simple yet powerful messages about keeping our surroundings clean in a fun and relatable way. It was a wonderful blend of learning and entertainment, and the students enjoyed watching the show.

31/07/2025 : Inter-House General Knowledge Quiz
"Books may teach you lessons, but a quiz reveals how much you’ve truly learned."
The Inter-House General Knowledge Quiz for Standards I to V was held on 31st July 2025, following an Intra-House Elimination Round on 24th July. Finalists represented their houses with enthusiasm and showcased commendable knowledge. The quiz comprised three engaging rounds: Multiple Choice Questions, an Audio-Visual round, and a Rapid Fire round.

A Tie-Breaker Round was conducted between Gargee House and Maitreyee House, both of which had secured an aggregate of thirteen points. After an exciting and closely contested series of rounds, Maitreyee House emerged as the overall champion of the competition. Gargee House claimed the position of first runner-up, while Varahmihir House secured the second runner-up title.

Nag Panchami was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. The teachers thoughtfully explained the significance of the festival and highlighted the important role snakes play in our ecosystem. To add a creative touch, our little Manikiens participated in delightful snake-themed art and craft activities, showcasing their imagination and creativity.

To value our natural resources and strengthen our connection with nature, we celebrated World Nature Conservation Day. Children were engaged through an informative PowerPoint presentation. They also enjoyed nature-themed songs, which were both shown and sung by our students. To further express their creativity, students participated in drawing and painting activities, and crafted imaginative hand bands inspired by nature.

World Nature Conservation Day was observed on July 28, 2025, to raise awareness about protecting our environment. Students from Std. I - X was shown an inspiring video that highlighted the importance of conserving nature and adopting eco-friendly habits. Students learned simple ways to help, such as planting trees, reducing plastic use, and saving water.
Powerful quotes and messages reminded everyone of their role in protecting the planet. The event encouraged children to reconnect with nature and become responsible stewards of the Earth. -

Our young learners explored the effects of excess sugar through a fun, interactive session. Using a story with visual aids, they discovered hidden sugars in everyday treats. To teach the topic of Germination, we celebrated Befriend a Plant Week. Throughout the week, children learned the stages of germination through hands-on experiences, engaging stories, and sprout soaking activities. They observed seeds sprouting and learned how tiny seeds grow into healthy plants. The students culminated the week by eating scrumptious healthy sprout ‘usal’, encouraging healthy eating habits and reinforcing the connection between plants and our well-being.

At IES Manik Vidyamandir, a week-long Sugar Awareness Program was conducted from 7th to 11th July 2025 to promote healthy eating habits among students. The initiative included age-appropriate ‘Sugar Board Activities’, educational videos on the impact of sugar, and engaging assemblies by both Primary and Secondary Sections. Highlights included a lively skit and song by primary students titled “Healthy Food Yum Yum”, and an informative street play by secondary students on the harmful effects of sugar. Visual charts and facts helped students to understand the importance of a balanced diet. The program successfully raised awareness about reducing sugar consumption and encouraged healthier lifestyle choices.

On Friday, 4th July 2025, IES Manik Vidyamandir joyfully celebrated the Ashadhi Ekadashi festival with great enthusiasm and devotion. As part of the festivities, a vibrant Dindi procession was beautifully performed by students of Kindergarten, Grade I, and Grade II. Dressed in traditional attire, the young participants sang devotional songs and marched gracefully, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere throughout the school.
Assembly is where students become leaders, voices find strength, and values take shape.

Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated with great enthusiasm. All the children came dressed in traditional attire as walkaris and some were carrying Tulsi plants. We chanted ‘Vithal’ while carrying out the mock Dindi procession in school. It created an atmosphere of joy and spirituality.
