Marathi Bhasha Din was celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, also known as Kusumagraj. Teachers explained the importance of Marathi language and culture. The Secondary Department of Manik Vidyamandir had celebrated Marathi Language Day on 25th February 2026. It included poems, Bharud, Powada, storytelling, Marathi pride song, news, displaying various thoughts and letters in Marathi. It was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride.

“A language is not just words — it is the soul of a culture and the pride of its people.”
On 24th February 2026, the school conducted a special assembly to commemorate Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din, celebrating the richness of the Marathi language and culture. The programme was conducted entirely in Marathi, reflecting pride in the state’s linguistic heritage. The highlight of the event was the recognition of student achievements. Certificates for the Marathi Olympiad were awarded for excellence in Marathi language proficiency, while Prempuri Certificates were presented to students for their participation and success in regional and cultural competitions.

The Parent–Child Contest offered a delightful platform to strengthen family bonds and celebrate togetherness. These year’s dance performances by parents and grandparents were vibrant and captivating, creating a joyful and memorable experience for all. The Chief Guest, Ms. Jash Pithadia, applauded the participants and was truly impressed by their energy and the strong spirit of family unity on display.

To make students aware about Shivaji Jayanti, a video was shown to the students from Std 6 to 9. Shivaji Jayanti, also known as Shiv Jayanti, is the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the legendary 17th-century warrior king and founder of the Maratha Empire. The event promotes knowledge of Maharashtra's history, strengthening cultural awareness and patriotism among students. Through this, they learn about qualities like courage, leadership, and equality.

To celebrate the birth anniversary of the brave Maratha warrior king, Shivaji Maharaj, students enthusiastically dressed up as Shivaji Maharaj, Jijabai, and the Mavlas. They confidently recited poems and spoke a few lines about the great leader. Teachers further enriched the celebration by sharing inspiring stories and presenting PowerPoint sessions that highlighted the life and achievements of Shivaji Maharaj.

The day commemorates his courage, visionary leadership, military brilliance, and his enduring dream of Swarajya. To create awareness among students, an informative video on Shivaji Jayanti was shown to students of Std. I to V, helping them understand and appreciate the inspiring legacy of the great warrior king.

17/02/2026 : Forganic Farmstay [Std. IV Field Trip]
“When children learn from nature, every experience becomes a life lesson.”
On 17th February, the students of Std. IV visited Forganic Farmstay, an organic agro-tourism farm nestled amidst lakes, waterfalls, jungle trails, and butterfly trails. The serene natural surroundings offered students a refreshing opportunity to connect with nature.The children actively participated in hands-on farm activities such as paddy sowing and drawing water from a well, helping them understand the effort involved in farming. They were also introduced to vermicomposting and bio-composting, learning how organic waste is transformed into useful compost.
In addition, students enjoyed adventure activities like an obstacle course, Burma Bridge crossing, and archery, which fostered teamwork, confidence, and physical strength. The visit was both educational and enjoyable, leaving students with valuable lessons on farming, sustainability, and environmental conservation.

On 16th February 2026, the students of Std. V and VI enjoyed an enriching educational visit to Monteria Village, where learning blended seamlessly with fun.The trip offered valuable hands-on experiences as students explored traditional professions such as pottery, tailoring, and carpentry. Interacting with skilled artisans helped them understand the importance of these occupations in daily life. They were also introduced to sustainable practices, learning how organic waste is converted into fuel through a biogas plant—an insightful session on eco-friendly living.
Beyond academics, the day was filled with joy and recreation. Students played traditional games, enjoyed park activities, and were entertained by a magic show and puppet show. The visit promoted teamwork, coordination, and cultural appreciation, making it a memorable and meaningful experience.

12/02/2026 : MuSo - Museum of Solution (Lower Parel- Mumbai) [ Std II Field Trip ]
“Learning becomes powerful when curiosity meets experience.”
The visit spanned three floors (7th, 8th, and 9th), each offering unique and engaging learning experiences.The first level focused on physical and interactive activities, including a climbing frame, balancing hangers, wall climbing, a water play area, an animation zone, and an escape room. Students also attended hands-on workshops featuring paper folding and Tangram puzzles.
The second and third levels were dedicated to water resources, where students learned about water supply, conservation, and purification processes. A documentary highlighted the importance of protecting water resources, and students gained insight into Mumbai’s koliwada culture and the lives of the fishing community. The trip was both informative and enjoyable, leaving students enriched through engaging modules, interactive games, and meaningful hands-on experience.

09/02/2026 : AVI Smart Park, Andheri West [ Std III Field Trip ]
“Learning becomes unforgettable when the classroom has no walls.”
On 9th February 2026, the students of Std III visited AVI Smart Park for an educational field trip. The students departed from school at 9:30 a.m. and reached the venue safely.
The indoor phygital park offered an engaging blend of physical and digital activities, including trampoline play, interactive games, and digital painting. These experiences enhanced the students’ coordination, creativity, and teamwork skills.
The trip was well-organized with appropriate safety measures in place. The students returned to school safely, making it a successful and enriching learning experience.

07/02/2026 : Inter-House English Recitation Competition
The Inter-House English Recitation Competition for Standards I to V was conducted in two stages. The first round of the competition was held in the respective classrooms on 19th January 2026.
The final round took place on 7th February 2026 at designated venues. The competition for Standards I and II was conducted in the Examination Room, while that for Standards III to V was held in the Stilt Area.
