26/11/2019 to 28/11/2019 : Little Star Jr. and Sr. KG Olympiad Exams
Exams and tests are a great way to assess what the students have learned with regards to particular subjects. The Little Star Olympiad Exams were conducted in school from 26th to 28th November 2019 on the following subjects – English, Mathematics and Environmental Science. The Question cum Answer sheets had colourful and attractive pictures. Some questions were tricky, which helped the children use their thinking skills. This exam was up to the children’s level and helped to assess their knowledge. They had great experience on what exams will be in future.

14/11/2019: Children’s Day Celebration
Children's Day is celebrated across India on 14th November every year as a tribute to India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly known as Chacha Nehru among children. He advocated for children to have fulfilled education. We, at Manik Vidyamandir also work towards the philosophy of value addition through education. Hence to celebrate this day the school had organized a picnic to Happy Planet, Kurla. It was a day of fun and frolic for the children. They were served yummy breakfast followed by a delicious lunch. The children explored the different games and enjoyed to the fullest. There was sand play, trampoline, slides, snow slide, shooting balls and many more games. The children enjoyed each and every corner till they were exhausted. The day ended with lots of memories and with the thought of going “once more”.

14/11/2019: Educational Trip – Kehsav Srushti
Students of Grades 1 to 5 were taken for an educational trip to Keshav Srushti, Bhayandar(W) on 14th November.
In the eco-friendly environment, they were introduced to various species of fauna & flora and herbal plants, coupled with papaya and banana plantations. They were also made familiar to Bio Gas plant and its uses.
Later, a workshop was conducted for Grades 1 and 2 on making different animals with the help of leaves. Grades 3 to 5 also created handmade paper out of the recycled waste paper.
Students were also served breakfast followed by lunch during their trip.

14/11/2019: Educational Trip – Nehru Science Centre
Students of Grades 6 to 9 were taken for an educational trip to Nehru Science Centre, Worli on 14th November.
The students at the Nehru Science Center were excited to see a short movie in the Odyssey where they saw “Aircraft carriers” and how they work. They also got the opportunity to see an interesting presentation on SOS (Science on Sphere), where they were informed about the planets of our solar system.
Further, they went for a gallery visit and took a glimpse of innovations in science education, through various sections of the centre such as Aerospace, Evolution, Human & Machine, Light & Sight, etc.
It was an enriching experience for the students as the trip supplemented the science education and fostered a spirit of scientific enquiry and creativity among the students.
