Orientation Programme was conducted for the Parents of Mini, Junior and Senior KG classes on the 31st of July 2024.
It was an opportunity for the parents to know about the activities of the school. The programme began with welcome address by Ms. Sarita Teacher. She briefed the parents about birthday celebration, Identity card, and school website etc.
The Head Ms. Medha Kadlag explained to the parents what National Education Policy 2020 is and the benefits of NEP for the children through an illustrious presentation. She also explained the importance of NEP guidelines through all five domains with examples.
Our syllabus for all the 3 levels in IES has been prepared on the basis of NEP, hence we are an NEP COMPLIANT KG, and all our efforts are directed towards bringing out the best in each child under our care.
Ms. Kadlag spoke about L,S,R,W, viz Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. She laid emphasis on the collaborative effort of the school, home, parents and teachers that will definitely help the child in becoming a confident child.
The motto of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is
The policy's main goal is to ensure that all children have access to quality education, and to prepare them with skills for the 21st century.
The message given to all the parents during the Orientation was:
“Tell me and I forget, teach me. I remember. Involve me, I will learn.”
On 17th July 2024, NEKG celebrated ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’.
All children decked up like Lord Vithoba, Rakhumai and little Warkaris, in the traditional attire. Girls carried ‘Tulsi pot’ on their head, and in this divine atmosphere, they all performed dance with cymbals in a very disciplined manner, which is known as the ‘wari’.
The children carried the ‘dindi’, the palanquin with the Lord Vithoba and Rakhumai around the school, with chants of
Vitthal, Vithal, Jai Hari Vitthal...
The project on Farm Animals was displayed. Animals like Dog, Cat, Rabbit, Donkey, Horse, Cow, Pig, Hen, Duck were displayed with their young ones, food and shelter. Children enjoyed being on the farm, watching the farm animals in their natural habitat and singing rhymes and songs...
... On the farm there were some ducks...
... with a quack, quack here and a quack, quack there...
Show and Tell activity was conducted. Children brought farm animal models and spoke about them.
Activities like sticking cotton on sheep, palm printing on hen and paper cutting (Duck) were done by the children.
