Shiv Jayanti

The Great Maratha Warrior King whose courageous acts have found a permanent place in History. We at Orion celebrated ‘Shiv Jayanti’ with great fervour. The statue of ‘Shivaji Maharaj’ was garlanded. A power point presentation was shown and stories on his bravery and truthfulness were narrated. IES Governing Council member Mr.Gajanan V.Samant Sir witnessed this occasion and blessed our little ones.
To pay their respects to this warrior, Pre Primary students came dressed as the characters from Shivaji Maharaj’s era (Shivaji Maharaj,Jijamata,Mavlas etc) and shared information by singing ‘Shiv Stuti’ songs, ‘Powadas’ and narrating the great warrior’s valour stories.

Parents Sports Event

Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; but also the basis of dynamic, creative and intellectual activity. To encourage the parents of IES ORION towards sports, we organized the ‘Sports Events’ in ‘IES RSV Ground’. It was overwhelming to see the extraordinary response of ‘Pre Primary’ parents for this ‘Sports Event’.
Cricket matches were organized for Orion Pre Primary ‘Men’. Total ‘Six Teams’ participated in this event. Dodge ball matches were organized for ‘Orion Pre Primary ‘Women’. Even in this event ‘Five Teams’ enthusiastically participated. Umpire’s and Referee’s decisions were considered as the final decisions respectively. Other parents and our young students attended this event as cheer leaders. It was heartwarming to see our excited team members who had printed the names of their wards on their Sports T-shirts.
One ‘Friendly Cricket match’ was played between Winners of ‘Senior KG. Bright Star’and Team Orion. ‘Jr.KG. Silver Moon’ won the ‘Women Dodge Ball tournament’. IES Orion Principal Mrs.Pratibha Prabhu awarded trophies and Prizes to the winning teams. IES Sports Coordinator, Mr.Ashok Jaiswal was present on this extremely ‘Successful Sports Event’. Orion parents appreciated the hard efforts put in by the IES management and Orion administration and requested to arrange more such events in future.

Quiz Contest for Senior KG

Senior KG. Students participated in ‘General Knowledge Quiz Contest’ during school hours. It was organized by school to enhance retention and observation power, logical thinking and alertness of mind of our little Orionites.
All Sr.KG. students were individually asked ‘five’ questions based on general knowledge during the first round and the finalists were selected from each class. During the final, 3 more rounds of questions were asked and the winners were declared by Orion Assistant Head Mrs.Indrani Banerjee. The prizes were distributed soon after the event. Students were excited to answer questions based on General Knowledge and enjoyed the contest thoroughly.

Annual Exhibition

Annual exhibition ‘Orion Vibrance’ was based on the theme ‘Glimpses Of History’. Our chief Guest ,Dr.Arundhati Hoskeri, MSc,MEd, MA English Literature, PhD(Education) graced this event . All Pre Primary students happily participated in the exhibition to exhibit their talents and were blessed by Vice President of IES and Chairman of IES Orion ,Mr.Sagar A. Sule and Principal of IES Orion Mrs.Pratibha Prabhu . It built their confidence, enhanced linguistic, emotional and social skills and also helped in kinesthetic development.
Our Journey from ‘Stone Age Era’ to today’s ‘High Technology Era’ was highly appreciated. Big projects were displayed with great creativity. Parents enjoyed games, dances and songs. Exclusive prizes were given away for winning various games and for the best dancing on tribal tunes.
Projects on Invention of wheel and fire, huge den in the dense forest, tribal dances and Stone Age weapons in the first room were extremely loved by parents. ‘Gram Panchayat’, State Transport Bus, Village Well, Windmill, Hand Pump and Activity of making boiled ‘Potato and Corn Chat’ in ‘Village Settlement’ in the second room was highly appreciated by visitors. In Mission Mars, Elon Musk and its Starship that invented robots and super astronauts to work on Space X-Home on planet Mars, modern transportation system, ready to make food stuffs, Selfie points in the third room were the highpoints of ‘High Technology Era’ room. In the ‘Music room’ the journey of music was shown through three different dances from ‘Stone Age Era’ to today’s ‘High Technology Era’. Natural, ancient and electronic musical instruments were displayed. Students performed confidently throughout this highly successful event.

Toy Day

Toys,an integral part of the life of young children.
Toys promote children´s cognitive development by stimulating their concentration and memory skillsand immensely help in development of fine motor and gross motor skills.
‘Toy Day’ was organized in the school and students were asked to bring theirfavourite toy to school .They expressed their feelings about their toy. They also exchanged their toys with their classmates to play. The values like sharing and caring were inculcated through this special day.
The classrooms were decorated with toys. Students enjoyed ‘Toy Day’. It was a great fun for them.

Annual Sports Day

Annual Sports Day was marked with great joy and it discovered the innertalent of our students in the field of ‘Sports’. The Chief Guest ‘Mr.MahendraKadam, National level Power Lifter and Fitness Trainer’ graced the occasion with his dynamic presence.
The Sports Day began with a March past of Pre Primary students followed by Hoisting the School Flag, Torchbearers Run, Oath taking ceremony and releasing the mascot giving the message ‘Spread Joy and Happiness everywhere’ at the hands of Chief Guest. Display included ‘Rhythmic Yoga’and ‘Ball Drill’ by Pre Primary students. Fun and flat races were beautifully organised for all three sections.
Students showed excellent physical coordination and discipline during this event.
