It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school. The event began with the traditional lighting of lamp. Then the school choir presented the welcome song. After this the procedure of elections was explained which is as follows:-
This year we had E-Voting for the election of the student council. E-Voting which is electronic voting. It involved the casting of votes online using the computer. The voting process took place in the school premises under the scrutiny of the teachers to ensure just and fair process of election. The students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 voted for their favourite candidate by the click on the mouse instead of using the old system of the ballot paper.
This was followed by the arrival of old council members. After this the results were declared by the Principal Ms. Pratibha Prabhu. This year, we have also selected twelve prefects who will be supporting the council members. They collaborate with each other, as a team, to ensure efficiency and smooth running of the school as a whole.
Handing over of flag from the old members to the new members was done. After the dispersal of old council members the house masters were called on the stage.
