31.08.2018 Gopal Kala Celebration
Dahi Handi is one such festival, which is eagerly awaited by all and is celebrated with lots of gusto and enthusiasm.
All boys and girls came in colourful attire dressed as Krishna, Radha, gopikas and gwalas to celebrate the festival.
A skit was presented by Sr.KG students depicting the story on Janmasthami. Children participated in the celebration and danced to the tune of “Govinda alla re alla”.
Nursery and Jr.KG children prepared head gears where as Sr.KG children prepared colourful flutes. Children enjoyed to the fullest and ate sweet poha as Prasad.

25.08.2018 AISM Annual Inter School Declamation Contest at the Regional Level
Venue: Lokhandwala Foundation School, Kandivali (East)
The participants had to choose a speech that had been delivered by a national or an international personality.
Sarvesh Patel and Manas Raut from class 9 participated in the Junior Category.
Manas Raut chose an inspirational speech given by IT industrialist Narayan Murthy on the role of Western values in contemporary Indian society.
Sarvesh Patel delivered the speech given by Subroto Bagchi, Indian entrepreneur and business leader on Indian value system. -
23.08.2018 Raksha Bandhan
Raksha Bandhan is well known for its strengthening the bond of love between brothers and sisters. Children enthusiastically participated in rakhi making activity. The celebration added excitement when, children danced to the tunes of songs related to Raksha Bandhan.
A project on Narali Pournima and Raksha bandhan was displayed, children prayed as a gesture of gratitude and respect towards Mother Nature.
Burfi made from coconut as a delicacy was distributed to all.

21.08.2018 Hindi Ad - Mad Competition
Chatrabhuj Narsee Memorial School (ICSE) had organized Vigyapan pratiyogita – “Vigyapan ki Duhiya Nirali” in which 42 ICSE school had participated. 4 students of class 8 from IES MVM participated in this competition.

Children celebrated the Independence Day .
To instill the feeling of patriotism, teacher gave informative talk about the national festival through project display and songs. Children enthusiastically participated in bunting making activity to decorate the school and also marched to salute the real heroes of our country.

On 10th August 2018, Hindi Inter House Elocution and Debate Competitionwere held in school for grade 6 to 10. 8 students from every class (2 from each house) represented their house and class. Best two from every std. were declared as winners. Winners of 6 & 7 will further represent MVM in Intra School Competition.

10.08.2018 Deep Pooja
Deep pooja is performed on Ashad Amavasya Day. On this day, all the diyas are lit once again in the evening and placed around the house. It is believed that the radiations of the light of the lamps drive out all the evil and darkness and welcome new brightness into our life.
Children brought decorated diyas (lamps) which were lit and worshiped by chanting shlokas. Importance of Shravan month was told to the children.

On 7th August 2018, Hindi Inter House Recitation Competition was held in school for grade 1 to 5. 8 students from every std. (2 from each house) participated in the competition. Best two from every std. were declared as the winners. They will further represent in Intra School Competition.

07.08.2018 Interschool Competition “VISTAURA”
VENUE: Gundecha Education Academy, Oshiwara Branch (Next to Mega Mall)
GUNDECHA EDUCATION ACADEMY (Smt. Mamta Gundecha Memorial Rotating Trophy), organized IndIannIca - Interschool Competition “VISTAURA”.
43 schools participated in this competition. The competition had a wide range of events for the students to cater to all interests and tastes.
The students participated very enthusiastically in almost all the events. There were 6 categories organized.
After the opening ceremony the students were asked to move to their classes allocated for the event. There were various events linked one after the other.

06.08.2018 to 10.08.2018 Monsoon Hungama
The most awaited season which children enjoy is the rainy season. To make it more exciting, monsoon hungama week was celebrated from 06.08.2018 to 10.08.2018. Through videos, songs and power point presentations children learned about rainy season, rain creatures and rain food. To inculcate the importance of water, teacher taught water conservation and rain water harvesting.
Nursery children were involved in different activities like making rain creatures, rain food and umbrella. Jr.KG children prepared an umbrella with wet brush painting and a colourful snail. Sr.KG children prepared rainbow stick puppet and rain drops with magic painting.
Children wore raincoats splashed their legs in the rain water, sailed paper boat and enjoyed a walk in the rain. Overall students enjoyed the monsoon hungama week.

01.08.2018 Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi
Keshav Gangadhar Tilak was a popular leader of the people who fought for the Indian Independence during the Indian Independence movement.
Teachers gave informative talk and children also spoke about this great social reformer.
Team work and Leadership qualities were instilled in the students. His famous line ‘Swaraj is my birth right and I shall have it’ was repeated by children.
