31-1-2019 Farewell
The staff and the students of grade 9 came together to bid farewell to the outgoing 2018-19 ICSE batch of class 10.
Dance and singing performances by the students of classs 9. The students of class 10 walked on the ramp, showcased their talent and answered a few questions. On the basis of which they were judged. The title of Mr MVM and Ms MVM was awarded to Master Yash Tatkar and Ms Sonali Maji.

31-1-2019 Field trip to the Fire Station
Senior KG children visited the Bandra (west) fire station, where they had hands on experience with the jobs carried out by the brave firefighters. They were mesmerised to see the fire engine, various tools which were used like the bird rescue stick, oxygen mask and hose pipe. They gave a demonstration on how the fire extinguisher is used.
Indeed the field trip was one of the most informative and interactive one. As a token of appreciation the children gave ‘Thank you card’ to the Firemen.

29-1-2019 Republic Day - Primary Assembly
The assembly was conducted by grade 5th. The theme of the assembly was “Republic Day” Students highlighted the significance of Republic Day and history of the national flag. Certificates were given to students who had won in Prem Puri competition.

21-1-2019 to 24-1-2019 Community Helpers – ‘Thanksgiving Week’
To inbibe children with the value of respecting and appreciating community helpers and the work done by them for the smooth running of our society, a ‘Thanksgiving week’ was organised wherein, children were acquainted by the various community helpers. A doctor visited the school and spoke to the children on healthy habits. The carpenter, electrician, postman showed their tools and demonstrated their jobs. The children were happy to meet the traffic policeman and had an opportunity to interact with them.
A Fancy Dress Activity on Community helpers was conducted where in the children dressed up as different community helpers; they were in high spirits and confidently spoke few sentences on the same.

18-1-2019 Grandparents’ Day
To cherish every moment that grandparents spend with us and to honour them we organized and celebrated Grandparents’ Day.
Mr Rangnath Nashikar, was our chief guest for the day.
The class performances dazzled the lovely audience as the grandparents were thrilled to see their little grandchildren perform for them.
There were solo performances by enthusiastic grandparents; an entertainment programme like spot game was organized for them. As a token of love and gratitude jute bags with creatively prepared cards by the children were presented.
The foot tapping music sent everyone on the dance floor to give us some very beautiful memories to remember in the coming years …..

15.01.2019 Kite Flying Activity
Makar Sankranti signifies that we must enjoy a new life and shine brighter and brighter. To celebrate the festival children prepared colourful aesthetic kites to soar the skies of their imagination and dreams… They came out in the open Long ground and flew their kites.
The message of awareness to have a bird safe Sankranti and be cautious while flying kites was explained to children.
Til Ladoos were distributed with the saying ‘Til Gul Ghya God God Bola’.

12.01.2019 Cookery Contest for Grandparents’
To involve grandparents in their grandchildren’s school, we welcomed them for a sandwich making competition. Special efforts were taken to make them feel comfortable. The judge Ms Meghna Kulkarni a Nutritionist gave a motivating and educational talk on healthy home cooking by the elders as they put in their love and go the extra mile in it.
The sandwich making activity along with fun involved a platform to bond with the grandparents as well as to educate about the nourishing value of food using healthy ingredients.
The prizes were given as per the wholesome value of food, the taste and the overall presentation. It indeed was a difficult task for the judge as she quoted after a tasting round.
The judge was warmly greeted by the group present. The grandparents participated wholeheartedly.
It was a delight to hear their laughter and conversation. The day, with their presence filled each ones heart with blessings and contentment.

The Intra School English Recitation Competition was held at IES Orion. The competition was judged by Dr. Indu Kulkarni and Ms. Rupangi Sharma.
Free expression is the base of human rights, the root of human nature and the mother of truth. So, this gave our children a platform to express their opinion freely and exhibit their vocabulary skills.

As we all know, poem is meant for enjoyment. Beauty is the realm of the poetry; the children enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of words. Taking all these facts into consideration the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence.

02.01.2019 to 04.01.2019 Animal Safari Week
Many activities such as book browsing, art and craft, role play and story sessions were conducted throughout the week.
The discussions we had with the children helped them to learn to respect the Animal Kingdom. The week enhanced personal, social, emotional development as it gave children an opportunity to empathise with the creatures around them.
They shared their personal experiences supporting language and communication development too.
