24.12.2018 Christmas Celebration
Christmas is a time to share and spread love, joy and peace. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, the pre-primary section celebrated Christmas as a happy time for the children. The tiny tots came beautifully dressed in party gear for the party.
Santa Claus created a happy and pleasant atmosphere by visiting the classrooms, distributing gifts and wishing everyone “Merry Christmas, “dancing along with the famous song ‘jingle bells.’ The children too sang songs in a very festive mood. The tiny tots learnt the values of loving, caring, sharing and respecting all.
A beautiful project depicting the birth of Jesus Christ was also displayed. Senior KG children performed a skit on the same.
As a part of their art work for Christmas, the Nursery prepared beautiful reindeer head masks, Jr and Senior KG children prepared Santa caps. -
21.12.2018 Taraporewala Field Trip
The senior KG students were taken on a visit to the Taraporewala Aquarium.
The Aquarium located at marine drive is India’s oldest aquarium and one of the city’s main attractions. It contains an impressive variety of marine and fresh water fish. The view of the different species of fish inside the aquarium was magnificent. The students were fascinated to see the different kinds of colourful marine life: fish of different colours, shapes, sizes on display there. The popular attractions include moray sea snakes, eels, turtles, small sharks, angel fish and clown fish. A separate section contains many specimens of preserved fishes, fossils, seaweeds and some varieties of sea shells.The children were thrilled and enchanted by this novel ‘underwater’ world experience. The students were also shown a video through which they got to know how fish are caught in large quantities and preserved for food. This was an opportunity for them to correlate with the topics they learn in the classroom. All in all, it was a very exciting day for all our students.

20.12.2018 Fielf Trip – Mahananda Dairy
Class: 1-5
340 students, 19 teachers, 2 Mausis and 1 Kaka went for a field trip during school hours in 8 buses.
Students were shown and explained the process of milk collection, processing - packaging area and cold storage. The staff at the factory also explained the entire process of milk distribution from the producer to the consumer.
Students and teachers were given some of Mahananda’s products, namely- flavoured milk, Lassi and Shrikhand as an acknowledgement of their visit to Mahananda factory. -
17.12.2018 Junior Dronacharya Interschool Sports Competition
Pre Primary students participated in the Junior Dronacharya Interschool Sports Competition held by Gundecha Education Academy with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was held at Oshirwara Andheri.
Nearly 20 schools all over Mumbai participated in the competition.
The tiny tots put up an excellent performance in the various events that were conducted for Nursery, Junior and Senior KG.
The following students successfully bagged prizes:Nursery :
1) Deep Kedar Salgaonkar – 3rd prize in Creepy – Crawly Hunt event.
2) Sanavi Suhas Rakshe – 3rd prize in Hooplathon Event.Junior KG :
1) Manasvi Vilas Patil – First prize in Doughnut Delight event
2) Moksha Rajesh Malde and Arnav Satish Sawant – Third prize in Hop – N - Trot event.
Medals and certificates were given away to the winners and participating certificates to all the participating schools. The children were thrilled to receive the medals and certificates standing on the victory stand. The performance of each and every child earned valuable points which helped our school secure the Second Position in Junior Dronacharya over All Winner for Academic Year 2018-19.The day was a great experience in the life of the students.
What an achievement! Kudos to the little ones for making us proud. -
07.12.2018 Field Trip to Mount Mary church
Senior KG children went on a field trip to Mount Mary Church Basilica, Bandra West. The parish priest welcomed the little ones and prayed for their well being. The children and teachers prayed devotedly as led by Reverend Father. They sang the hymn ‘God’s Love is so wonderful’ and gave offering in the church. The trip was a beautiful experience as they learned that we should live in peace and harmony as well as respect each ones faith and religion.

05.12.2018 Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Commemoration Day
The principal Architect of the Constitution of India, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was remembered on his death anniversary.
Through audio visuals teachers gave students a short informative talk about the great leader’s life and work. To pay our respectful tribute to the great man children spoke about his contribution towards the society.

05.12.2018 English Elocution Competition
English Elocution competition was held on 5th December, 2018. The judges for the competition were, Ms. Tuhina Roy and Mr. Rodgar D’souza. Best speaker from each grade was selected.
The topics were as follows:
Grade 6:
1. If I Ruled the World
2. The Benefits of Team work
Grade 7:
1. How I Choose My Friends
2. Living on another Planet- A Myth or a Reality
Grade 6 - Best speaker was Master Shlok Darekar
Grade 7 - Best speakers were Miss Saumya Mishra and Miss Maitreyee Bodhe. -
05.12.2018 English Inter House Debate competition - Final Round
Final round of debate was held on 5th December 2018.The judges for the final round were, Mrs Soma Mukherjee and Ms. Rahila Batliwala. The houses competing against each other for the final round were Green and Blue. The topic for the final round was:
Sabrimala Temple Row: Right to Equality or Tradition.
Aditi Mungre of grade 8 was selected as the best speaker and Green house was awarded as the best house.
