30.06.2018 Annual Inter School Cultural and Sports Fest “ATHENA”
Venue: N.L.Dalmia High School
N.L.Dalmia High School, organized Annual Inter School Cultural and Sports Fest “ATHENA” that was scheduled on 30th June and 01st July of 2018.This competition had a wide range of events for the students to cater to all interests and tastes.
The students participated very enthusiastically in almost all the events. There were 7 main events organized by the host school and various sub events under each main event of which our school participated in 27 sub events out. The participants were asked to report at 7.00 a.m. on both the days.
After the opening ceremony on both the days the students were asked to move to their classes allocated to them at the time of registration. There were various events linked one after the other.

29.06.2018 Monsoon: Secondary Assembly
Class: 8
The assembly started with a prayer followed by thought for the day.
Children read out the news.
A short skit on monsoon was presented highlighting the benefits and also what precautionary measures are to be taken.
A poem on ‘How beautiful is the rain’ by Henry Wadsworth was recited.
Students thereafter presented a melodious song on Monsoon. -
28.06.2018 Dental Checkup
A Dental check up was organized by the school. A team of professionals ‘Sabka Dentist’ conducted the dental check up. Each child was given a feedback report about their diagnosis to take home. They were pleased with the oral hygiene of children and hospitality of our school. Children were happy to answer the questions asked by the dentists.

27.06.2018 Puppet Show
Puppets have always fascinated children. Puppet show support social, emotional, language, cognitive development and help children understand the world around them. Keeping this in mind a puppet show was arranged for our tiny tots on the topics ‘My Family’ for Jr.KG and ‘Back to school’ for Sr. KG. Children were overjoyed to see the puppet show performed by their teachers and learnt some school rules and family values.

22.06.2018 International Yoga Day : Secondary Assembly
Class: 7
The assembly began with the thought of the day, followed by News (National, International and Sports).
A brief speech was given by the students to highlight the importance of Yoga Day and also its relevance in a student’s life.
A small skit was enacted by students on ‘The importance of Yoga’ for a stress free life.

21.06.2018 International Yoga Day
Venue: IES Manik VidyaMandir Stilt Area
“Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim.
The better your practice, the brighter the flame.”We had the privilege of having dignitaries from Yoga Vidya Foundation, which is a part of World Pranic Healing Foundation, Philippines. The group leader, Ms. Sandhya Deshmukh briefed the students about the various programmes such as meditations, training courses, healing for medical ailments as well as diverse fields like business relations and finance.
Students from KG to Grade 10 performed various aasanas under the able guidance of the PE teachers.

21.06.2018 International Yoga Day
Yoga means an addition of energy, strength and beauty to body, mind and soul.
Like every year 21st June was celebrated as International Yoga Day. Students participated in a session of Yoga and meditation under the guidance of our PE teacher’s. The session started with Pranayam and continued with different Asanas such as Tadasan, Padmasan and many more which were beneficial for children.
Teachers told children about the importance and benefits of Yoga. Children felt energetic and promised that they will practice Yoga for healthy body and mind.

12.06.2018 IRIS Lecture
IRIS lecture was conducted in school on 12th June.
The lecture was conducted by Dr. Amin and was attended by students of standard 8 and standard 9.
The Lecture was to expose the students to the process of research in science. It was conducted in two sessions for std. 8 and std. 9.

05.06.2018 World Environment Day
“We won’t have a society if we destroy our Environment”.
World Environment Day was celebrated with great passion. To inspire our tiny tots, teachers told them the various facts on how to take care and save our environment.
Children were also told about the current theme of the year “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
Sr. KG students did beautiful drawing on Save Earth. Our Little ones also pledged to take care of the environment and save your planet. -
04.06.2018 Orientation and Parents’ Meeting
The school re-opened on 4th June 2018 on a very happy and positive note.
The tiny tots of Nursery and Jr. K.G were welcomed with colourful puppets made by their respective class teachers. Sr.KG children enjoyed the activity of colouring their welcome puppets.
MsSmitaBal Pre-primary Coordinator welcomed the parents for the new academic year 2018-19. This was followed by a class meeting taken by the respective class teachers. The Orientation programme & the class meeting enlightened the parents about the working of Kindergarten at ManikVidyamandir. Parents were glad to be a part of an esteemed school like ours.
