25/01/2023 Annual Sports Meet

Sport is a universal language that brings people together and is a preserver of health.

Introducing children to sports at an early age is important for physical fitness, building cognitive growth, confidence, team spirit, and overall development.

‘Annual Sports Meet’ was held on 25th January which was marked with great joy and enthusiasm.

The school playground saw parents in large numbers, filled with zeal, passion, excitement, and happiness to see their young athletes performing.

The day began with a March past. The Sports Meet was declared open by our parents, our ‘Guests of honour’, by releasing balloons with the message “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body”.

The sports Meet was highlighted with thrills, shrills, and cheers on the playground.

Fun races with educative resources were beautifully organized for all three sections viz. Mini KG-Stuffed Toy Race and Bird Race. Junior. KG- Penguin Race and Animal food Race. Senior KG – Hurdles and Puzzle Race.

The winners were felicitated with a medal and a certificate. Parents enthusiastically participated in fun games organized for them and won prizes.

17/01/2023 World of Birds

“Become a bird, Expand your wings,
Explore the world,Fly as high as you can.”

The classroom of NEKG transformed into a green land and bird friends, the crow, parrot, sparrow, flamingo, ostrich, macaw, all landed on the trees as the teachers displayed a project on birds.

It was an enjoyable month for our NEKG children.

They were ready to see and learn "The Amazing world of birds", through a puppet show which hada story with a moral, the message to value kindness towards birds and care for birds.

Children learnt about birds, their food, habitat and characteristics as they dramatized the birds in innovative and creative homemade costumes made by their parents. All the children became little birds, flew around with wings of the eagle, the pigeon and the parrot.

"Let’s hop like a sparrow, waddle like the penguin, they said".

"I am a huge bird, I am the Ostrich ! I am beautiful and pink in colour, I am the flamingo," said the others.

Children did project work on birds. They enjoyed the fun and creative work as they stuck pictures and cutouts of birds in used boxes.

Parents appreciated the displayed project, where the true - to - life birds were all made from rags and waste materials. They were amazed at the artwork and projects by children.
