The special day is to honour the older generation for their contributions, tradition, values, and guidance for their grandchildren. IES NEKG School celebrated ‘Grandparents Day’ on 11th March 2023.
The Programme began with Saraswati Puja and prayer to seek blessing for grandparents with happiness and good health. They were welcomed by a song sung by teachers.
Enthusiastic grandparents whole heartedly participated in singing melodious songs, and bhajans, reciting Vedic mantras and sharing their experience. It was a pleasing moment to see the grandparents’ performance. Many exciting games were conducted like a treasure hunt, identifying songs through quizzes and articles, surprise prizes for fashion, dress code, etc. Gifts were distributed for every game. The dance session that was organized gave ‘Aaji Aajoba’ an opportunity to spend happy and relaxed moments. They danced in their style with grace and a smile.
Grandparents are the biggest blessings. Grandparents shared their feedback that they are blessed to be a part of this wonderful institution that goes out of the way to make them feel so special by celebrating ‘Grandparents’ Day’.
Bookmarks were made by children and a small token of love was given to each family.
Grandparents were addressed with thanks and gratitude for their active participation and involvement
