29/07/2022 HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAMME

IES NEKG always strives for the betterment of the students as well as parents. Keeping this thought in mind a Yoga session was held for the Mothers on 29th July 2022, in the stilt hall of the campus.

The session began by welcoming the enthusiastic mothers who had enthusiastically attended the programme. They were made aware about the stress and hard work they do throughout the day, so that everything functions well in their daily routine, giving importance to the wellbeing of the family except themselves.

The Mothers were guided to a thought that yoga can help reduce stress and keep them fit.

Sadhana teacher introduced Ms. Deepa Mayekar, Yoga trainer and practitioner and her two instructors Ms. Sarita Tikam and Ms. Reshma Mane. The yoga session began with a prayer followed by different asanas which could help mothers to flex the muscles and work on the stress points, different asanas of hands, feet, neck and back were practiced. The aasanas were very well explained and demonstrated in such a way that mothers would be able to practice them easily every day sitting in one place or while working. Mothers enthusiastically participated and they were given opportunity to ask queries and give their feedback. The session was concluded by vote of thanks by Ms. Gladys D’souza.

Ms. Deepa Mayekar and mothers thanked Ms Medha Kadlag, Head of NEKG for her mindfulness for initiating and devoting a healthy day to all mothers.
