GRANDPARENTS’ TALENT CONTEST
20/08/2022
Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest story tellers, and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To bring their hidden talent and their childhood years back, IES Orion Kindergarten organized Grandparents’ Talent Contest on Saturday, 20th August 2022.
The contest started with Lord Ganesh’s prayer. Principal Madam, Mrs. Pratibha Prabhu personally greeted them and wished them for the contest. They say every person is born with a talent, and happiness depends on discovering that talent in time. Our grandparents enthusiastically participated in a huge number for the Diya Decoration Contest.
We experienced all the hidden talents and creativity of the grandparents on that day. We also experienced happiness in them while decorating the diyas. Few of them brought earthen diyas and decorated them using paints, stones, and mirrors. The diyas looked bright and colourful. Some made the diyas from waste materials. Some were decorated with flowers and other materials.
One Grandma came to Mumbai specially to participate in this contest all the way from Nagpur. Every moment of this event was enjoyed thoroughly. It was thoroughly motivational for us to see the huge number of participations from the grandparents. A small takeaway was given in return to the grandparents.
It was indeed a highly motivational and satisfying morning. We would like to thank all the grandparents who participated in the contest.
