Std 9th and 10th Art Work

Similar happiness was seen and experienced by the 9th and 10th std. students in the art room. To express their love for art, the students went on to renovate the most used thing in the art room that is the cupboards.
It is rightly said by Sir Henry David Thoreau- “The world is but a canvas to our imagination.” Students of std 9 and 10 did not limit their creativity just on A4 size paper rather a wider canvas that is Art Room Cupboards were renovated under the able guidance of Art teacher Ms. Chaitali. Truly this renovation was worth witnessing!

Educational Trip

Keeping this view in mind, IES Orion arranged an educational trip for std. 6, 7 and 8 to Hyderabad dated 28th October’22 to 31st October’22 and std. 9 and 10 to Chandigarh and Amritsar dated 1st November’22 to 6th November’22.
IES Orion believes that visiting various places enrich the student’s knowledge and takes learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.
The sight-seeing was an amazing experience. The children explored places like Nehru Zoological Park, Ramoji Film City, the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and many more places of interests.
This educational trip allowed the students to admire India and its beauty and was also well appreciated by the parents.

DIWALI CELEBRATION

Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an array of lights. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.
The tiny tots of IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated the festival of Diwali on Friday, 21st October 2022 with great enthusiasm. Students were dressed in traditional attire. Teachers explained the importance and significance of Diwali through an informative PowerPoint Presentation and animated story videos.
The Diwali celebrations at school often mean a festive look with Diya’s and paper lanterns adorning the classrooms and corridors. The activities permeated the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope.
The young students proved that creativity and talent do not have boundaries. Students decorated the Diya’s with colours and stickers. Besides sensitizing students about the ill-effects of crackers, the guidelines of environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali were also shared with the students. The entire presentation filled the hearts of all the students with the spirit of Diwali.
Our little Orionites enjoyed dancing on Diwali songs. Tasty Diwali Savouries were relished by our Kindergarteners. Students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

ONE TO ONE PARENT-TEACHER INTERACTION

Parent-teacher interaction is held once in each term to discuss the overall progress of the child. This interaction was conducted for IES Orion Kindergarten parents on Saturday, 15th October 2022 which took place in the respective classrooms.
It is a great opportunity to share academic progress and growth based on classroom observations, activities, assessments, and assignments. It helps in enhancing and boosting the child’s engagement in the learning process. It gives an understanding of the various skills of a student.
As a part of this interaction, the strengths and concerns of a student are discussed. It helps the parent to understand and work on certain areas for the betterment of their ward. Teachers also shared few important techniques for improving various skills in a play-way method.
Overall, it was an interactive session. Parents were very encouraging and supportive, and were extremely appreciative of the efforts taken by the school. They acknowledged the sincere efforts taken by the teachers in providing continuous guidance for the students.

At Godrej Nature’s Basket store!Field trips play an important role in learning. They link the classroom experience with the outside world and in doing so they improve the process of learning, and give the learners hands-on experience. To reinforce the concept of “Fruits and Vegetables” Sr. KG. students of IES Orion were taken for a field trip to Godrej Nature’s Basket, Prabhadevi on Friday, 14th October, 2022.
Godrej Nature’s Basket is India’s pioneering food destination to provide a brighter customer experience with an assortment of finest local and international foods and highest level of service.
Students were given a warm welcome by the store staff at “Godrej Nature’s Basket.” In the vegetable and fruit section the students were super excited as they could identify the different exotic fruits and vegetables on display. Students were delighted to observe India’s freshest and finest food experience and customer’s ‘Daily Food Delights’, be it the freshest fruits and vegetables, the finest meats, wide array of cheese, irresistible bakery products and more.
The students may have been with their parents to the supermarket countless times but this trip was enriching and a fun learning experience for them. This educational and interactive experience is sure to leave a lasting impression on the little Orionites.

DASSERA CELEBRATION

AMBE MATA KI JAI!
Keeping the festive spirit alive, IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated Dassera on Tuesday, 4th October 2022. Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning. Dassera is a festival of victory of good over evil - an important lesson for every human being.Students came dressed in ethnic wear. An informative talk was shared by the teachers through a PowerPoint Presentation, to convey the message of victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil.
Students offered incense stick, flowers, prayers and worshipped Goddess Durga and Goddess Saraswati.They enthusiastically participated and enjoyed playing Garba and Dandiya in the examination hall where the Navratri project was displayed.
The event was a learning experience for all and enriched the young ones about our heritage and culture.

GANDHI JAYANTI AND LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI JAYANTI

IES Orion Kindergarten celebrated Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on Monday, 3rd October 2022 with great zeal and enthusiasm during school hours.
Through an informative PowerPoint Presentation teachers stressed on the value of speak no evil, hear no evil, and see no evil. Students were also exposed to the life and struggle of both the leaders through effective PowerPoint Presentations and stories. Lal Bahadur Shastri also used to follow Gandhiji's principles. We need leaders like Shashtriji, who called the people of the nation to support farmers and soldiers through his statement 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' and take our country towards the path of development and progress.
The tiny tots delivered short speeches highlighting the quotes of these great legendary leaders and conveyed their noble messages in the most effective and influential manner. Jr. KG. and Sr. KG. students also shared their thoughts and few sentences on ‘My Dear Bapuji.’ Teachers motivated the students to inculcate the valuable qualities of simple living and high thinking.

GRANDPARENTS DAY CELEBRATION

Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation, keepers of traditions, and the founders of a loving legacy. Their special love and care hold the family together. To honour their unconditional love, IES Orion Kindergarten organized Grandparents Day Celebration on Saturday, 1st October 2022 in Pracharya B. N. Vaidya Auditorium. Teachers welcomed the grandparents with a warm smile and made them comfortable in their seats. The function began with the lighting of the lamp by a few grandparents and our Principal Madam Mrs. Pratibha Prabhu.
Our Principal Madam addressed the grandparents. She extended a warm welcome to all the grandparents and thanked them for the important role they play in the family. To make this day a special one for the Grandparents various programs were organized by the students and the teachers.
The students were very excited to showcase their love for their grandparents and this was evident on their faces while they performed. Sr. KG. students welcomed their Grandparents with a lovely song "Dada, Dadi, Nana, Nani" followed by a retro mash-up dance of old Hindi film songs by our little Orionites of Jr. KG. and Sr. KG. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering on the faces of all the grandparents on seeing their grandchildren perform.
Grandparents enthusiastically participated in all the games organized for them. Their robust participation added a spark to the celebration. Omkar sir and Chandrika teacher dedicated heart-touching songs that left grandparents spellbound. Students of Sr. KG. Tiyara Vanga and Reyansh Thakur on behalf of all the students expressed their gratitude to all the grandparents.
The main highlight of the program was the medley dance which the grandparents participated in and performed zealously. Few enthusiastic Grandparents also performed a scene from the film ‘Sholay’. The whole auditorium was filled with joy and laughter. It created a cheerful atmosphere.
Grandparents Diya Decoration Talent Contest prizes were announced. The winners were greeted with gifts, which brought a twinkle to their eyes. All the grandparents thoroughly enjoyed themselves to the fullest. The event culminated with a vote of thanks given by Shilpa teacher followed by the National Song.
