The wonderful engineering work that the children saw was one of the best landscapes ever. This developed the children’s interest in the place and respect for the people responsible for this place.
The best part of the trip was the set up of an ideal Monteria village. Children enjoyed different activities like the carpentry, pottery, sewing, cycling on the dusty roads of the village, hand weaving and many more.

Field Trip 2022-23
03/12/2022 & 10/12/2022
‘The most beautiful gift of nature is that it gives one pleasure to look around and try to comprehend what we see’ – Albert Einstein
IES Orion organized an educational trip in association with Tour India to Keshav Srushti, an ideal nature spot at Bhayandar. It has 200 acres of green land located at Uttan village.
The trip was an ideal way to make the students aware of the importance of conserving nature and impart knowledge through fun learning and hands on experience. It is very difficult to find this kind of green natural environment within Mumbai.
The children enjoyed the long bus journey with snacks in the bus. The Keshav Shrusthi team welcomed the students and served them with yummy breakfast.
Through a PowerPoint presentation the team gave information to the children about the organisation, the significance of the place, secret of conserving nature and preserving green cover, importance of ecosystem, and the need of growing more trees for controlling the adverse effects of weather changes.
The activity session started with a nature trail where all the children walked through a vast stretch of woods and experienced the fresh air which is usually missing in the local parts of our city.
It also gave us an opportunity to see botanical plantations, rain harvesting ponds, mango and coconut plantations and Gaushala (Cow shed). The children enriched their knowledge about flora and fauna, herbal plants, Greenhouse, Vermi-compost, Apiculture etc. One of the main attractions was the Biogas plant. The generated gas at Gaushala is transported through a pipe line to the in-house kitchen and various other places.
Later, all the children who were tired of the long walk were served with their favourite lunch with delicious pav bhaji and noodles. After lunch all the children got engrossed in an interesting paper recycling activity which they enjoyed as each and every child was given a chance to be the part of the activity
It was time to say good bye to this lovely place. Truly it was an extremely delightful trip, where the children spent a relaxing day in the lap of nature.
