Students of Std. I To Std. V went on a One Day Educational Trip To Vivek Agro Tourism NGO & Rural Development Centre Virar On 16th February 2019.
The students had a wonderful learning experience as they had a tour of the Agro farm watching the Mini Zoo, Emu Farm, Vegetable Farm, Rice Cultivation, Vermi-compost Plant and Organic fertilizers as they went on a Nature trail. They also enjoyed the Audio-visual presentation about the wonders of nature.

Annual Sports Day

Annual Sports Day was marked with great joy and it discovered the inner talent of our students in the field of ‘Sports’. The theme for the Sports’ Day was ‘Health and Nutrition’. Students showed excellent physical coordination and discipline during this event. The Chief Guest ‘Mrs. Amruta Deshmukh, Shiv Chatrapati Rajya Krida Puraskar Awardee’ graced the occasion with her presence.
The Sports Day began with a March past of KG students followed by Hoisting the School Flag, Torch bearers Run, Oath taking ceremony and releasing the mascot giving the message ‘Education For All’ at the hands of Chief Guest. Display included ‘rhythmic aerobic exercise , Gymnastic presentation and Pyramid’ by KG students. Fun and flat races were beautifully organised for all three sections. Parents enthusiastically participated in ‘Hula Hoop Game'.

Annual Exhibition: Vibrance

The exhibition was based on the theme ‘Water’. Food Technologist from UDCT/ICT-Matunga Dr.Arun Dinkar Padhye graced this event . All KG students happily participated in exhibition to exhibit their talents. It built their confidence, enhanced linguistic, scientific and mathematical skills and also helped in kinesthetic development.
Projects like water fall, rain harvesting, sources and uses of water were highly appreciated. Parents enjoyed games, dances, songs, skits on water pollution and Science experiments. The craft activities of making bookmarks with ‘Save Water’ message and paper plate decoration with paper fishes were appreciated by visitors.
Guests quenched their thirst by drinking lemon juice. Students performed confidently throughout the event.

Annual Exhibition: Vibrance

The ANNUAL EXHIBITION, VIBRANCE was organised on 9th February, 2019. The theme for this year was ‘Water.’ The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. ARUN DINKAR PADHYE, FOOD TECHNOLOGIST, UDCT / ICT - Matunga, MUMBAI, Ex HoD, Technical And Applied Chemistry Dept. VJTI.
The exhibition comprised of various sections subject wise, where every section had a display of topics related to water along with active participation by students in the form of drama, recitation, skits, dance, music, experiments and explanation of projects.

Project Day

‘A Joy of Creation.’
To facilitate learning ‘Projects’ made by students with great concentration determination and wonderful imagination. The topics were ‘Railways and Waterways’ for Jr.KG. and ‘Airways’ for Sr.KG. skills.
Students made projects by using materials like empty boxes, small empty boxes of soaps , ice cream sticks, bottle tops, chart papers ,beads etc. All projects were highly appreciated.
Students spoke about their projects in the class. Project making activity gave a tremendous boost to the creativity of the students. -
Shiv Jayanti

The Great Maratha Warrior King whose courageous acts have found a permanent mention in all our history books.
We at Orion celebrated ‘Shiv Jayanti’ with great fervour. The portrait of ‘Shivaji Maharaj’ was garlanded in ‘School Assembly’. A power point presentation was shown and stories on his bravery and truthfulness were narrated.To pay their respects to this warrior, KG students came dressed as the characters from Shivaji Maharaj’s era (Shivaji Maharaj,Jijamata,Mavlas etc) and shared information by singing ‘Shiv Stuti’ songs and narrating the great warrior’s velour stories..

Toy Day

WOW! TOYS ARE SO MUCH FUN.
Toys’ should be an integral part of the life of young children. Toys support cognitive growth and immensely help in development of fine motor and gross motor skills.
Students bought their favourite toy to school .They expressed their feelings about their toy. They also exchanged their toys with their classmates to play. The values like sharing and caring were inculcated through this special day.
