Gopal Kala Day (Janmashtami)

‘The brave deeds of Lord Krishna inspire us to face every problem with courage and knowledge’.
Gopal Kala Day was celebrated with great fervour and joy. Students enjoyed singing and dancing on Lord Shree Krishna’s devotional songs. Orionites were engrossed in pious dance-drama enactments on the life of Krishna. Mock Dahi Handi was shown to them. Students offered prayers and few of them narrated stories based on the life of Krishna. Beautiful project was displayed and shown to them.
Paper crowns were made by Nursery and Jr.KG. students and paper flutes were made by Sr.KG. students.

EXPRESS ONE’S GRATITUDE

An event to mark our gratitude towards the most important persons in a child’s life, like the MOTHER, SISTER, GRANDMOTHER and TEACHER, was conducted for the students. Students were asked to draw and paint their hearts out to express their love and gratitude towards their loved and most revered individual. They were all rewarded with a yummy croissant, Moonfils, which was relished and enjoyed the most.

Drawing competition

Drawing competition hosted by Faber-Castell and NDTV
Students of Grade VI to X and I to V participated in a drawing competition hosted by Faber-Castell and NDTV on 16th August & 21st August respectively.
Art is a true representation of the deepest thoughts in our minds. Students participated in the competition – “Art with Purpose 2018”, which aims to encourage young minds to express their views on socially relevant topics through the form of art.
As we celebrate our 72nd year of independence, it is important to remember the sacrifices made by our great countrymen and women. Even today, more than 1.4 million Armed forces are putting their lives on the line to protect the nation and us.
Keeping this thought at the heart of this year’s “Art with Purpose”, students had to draw and paint on the theme, “Your message to the Indian soldier” as a salute to the real heroes of the nation, giving them the opportunity to express their gratitude to the Indian soldiers.

Independence Day

The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor by the students of Grade VIII to X in the Examination Hall, 5th floor, of IES Orion. The programme began with a salute to the national flag, the National Anthem and Flag song. It was followed by a gist of the message delivered by the President Of India Shri Ramnath Kovind on the eve of the Independence Day. The Head Boy and Head Girl expressed their views on the occasion of Independence Day. This was followed by patriotic song sung by our students..Saare Jahan se Achcha…
The programme concluded with the National Song…VANDE MATARAM.

Independence Day

Students made tri colour buntings on 14 th August 2018 to decorate the school for ‘Independence Day’. Teachers explained the importance of celebrating this ‘National Day’. Students participated in singing and dancing on patriotic songs and spoke on Independence Day. A beautiful project was displayed.

Nag Panchami
13/08/2018
Nursery students made clay snakes, Jr.KG students made ‘ paper plate Snakes’ and Sr. KG students made ‘ crape paper Snakes’. Beautiful project on Nag panchami was displayed. On the eve of Nag Panchmi , the story of Krishna and Kaliya, the most dangerous snake was also narrated and shown through PPT. Teacher also explained them that we have always worked towards living in harmony with its environment and so we celebrate this festival to strengthen the bond between ‘farmer and his friend snake’ who helps him to save his crops from rats and other small animals.

Deep Pooja

Beautiful project on Deep Pooja was displayed. Students offered prayers like “Shubham Karoti Kalyanum”. The message ‘Save Electricity’ was given through informative talk. Teachers made students aware of different kinds of diyas and their uses and how they are useful when there is no electricity supply.

VistAura-2018

The VistAura-2018 Indiannica interschool competition was held on Tuesday, 7th August 2018 at Gundecha Education Academy. This year 700 students from 45 schools all over Maharashtra had participated in various competitions. It is indeed a proud moment for our students to have participated and won in various events.

Road Safety Programme

Students of grade 1 to VIII had a programme on Road Safety by SAFE KIDS FOUNDATION on 6th, 7th and 8th August. Students were made aware of the road safety rules to be followed through demonstration using flash cards, model of signal, road map on which the children actually had the opportunity to walk and also through power-point presentation.
The children were also provided with activity book and a program brochure.

Tilak Punyatithi

‘SWARAJ IS MY BIRTH RIGHT AND I SHALL HAVE IT’.
As a tribute to our great freedom fighter ‘Bal Gangadhar Tilak’ ,teachers narrated the stories from his life . Students also shared information and narrated stories related to the life of Lokmanya Tilak.
Values like ‘Patriotism’, ‘Honesty’ and ‘Courage’ were inculcated through such events.
