Virtual Holi Celebration
27/03/2021
Holi is a festival of colours. Everyone likes to play this festival filled with colours and happiness. This year due to current pandemic situation, we celebrated virtual Holi festival. Through a video we conveyed the importance of celebrating this festival. We showed children the story behind HolikaDahan i.e., the victory of good over evil. We also portrayed the harmful effects of chemical colours on humans, animals as well as environment. We encouraged them to use organic colours which are eco-friendly. Last but not the least a message was conveyed that this year, no one should celebrate this festival with colours due to the current situation rather celebrate it with family and friends at home. In this way, we showed them the importance of celebrating Holi and taking care of themselves and their loved ones.

Holi
26/03/2021
One of the major festivals of India, Holi is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety on the full moon day in the month of March.
Holi is also called the Spring Festival - as it marks the arrival of spring, the season of hope and joy. The gloom of the winter goes as Holi promises of bright summer days. Nature too, it seems rejoices at the arrival of Holi and wears its best clothes. Fields get filled with crops, promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air.
What makes Holi so unique and special is the spirit of it which remains the same throughout the country and even across the globe, wherever it is celebrated.
We celebrated Holi on the common platform of Microsoft Teams during the Online Session on Friday, 26th March 2021.
The celebration started with the Prayer and the School Anthem and it was followed by an Introduction by our Sr. KG Student. It was a pleasure watching our tiny tots of Nursery dancing to the foot tapping number “Rang leke khelte gulal leke khelta....bolo tara rara”. Jr. KG students narrated the Story of Holika emphasizing the triumph of good over evil. Nursery students performed a graceful dance on “Rang abeer gulal udati…. aaye holi aaye re”. The program was concluded by our Sr. KG students with an important message and safety tips and precautions to be followed while playing holi this year during the pandemic. After the celebration, students enjoyed performing creative activity. Nursery students enjoyed Palm Painting activity. Jr. KG students made a beautiful Holi Card – Bottle Cap Paint Dabbing by using different colours. Sr. KG students made a Happy Holi Pichkari (water gun) with a message “Conserve Water…Play Dry Holi”. We should celebrate Holi in a decent way. We must realize that it is a festival of joy and friendship. We should share our joy with others.
