Navratri Celebration

May the festival of lightings
be the harbinger of exuberance and prosperity.
As the holy occasion of Navratri is here
and the atmosphere is filled with the minds of the mirth and love.Keeping this versein mind, we celebrated Navaratrion common platform Teams.
The invites were sent to the grandparents,parents,teachers and students.Recorded video which had Prayer was played. It was followed by Ghat Stapana and Garbo. Children performed Saraswati Puja which was followed by the traditional dance. How Navaratri is celebrated in different states was very well explained by secondary students. Importance of nine colours was beautifully explained by primary students through the video. It was followed by a dance performance by them.
A drawing activity was conducted,followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The fact that despite of different cultures, religions and languages, people of India live together with love and brotherhood was emphasized through this online celebration.

Navratri and Dasshera Celebration

Students enjoyed ‘Online’ ‘Navratri’, a nine days festival and ‘Dasshera Celebration’ along ‘with Saraswati Pooja’.
Information related to the festival was narrated with beautiful presentations. Cultural dances of ‘Navratri’ from various ‘States of India’ were performed with great enthusiasm by our students.
They celebrated the victory of good over evil, the victory of humanity, justice and truth through this beautiful virtual celebration.

Parents-Teachers - Virtual Meeting

To discuss the ‘Online Observation of Growth and Development’ of the students, ‘One to one Parents Meeting’ was conducted during this month.
Teachers and parents both were happy to share their views on the progressive development of the child through the virtual classes. Simple constructive activities to make children engaged at home and various ways and methods to channelize their energy and curiosity were shared by teachers.
Important guidelines were also shared for overall progress of the students.

Farm Buddies Week For Jr.KG and Ocean Friends Week For Sr.KG.

Students watched ‘PowerPoint presentations, various stories and videos’ about ‘Farm and Sea’ animals and enjoyed virtual visit to the ‘Farm’ and ‘Ocean Bed’ respectively. The songs related to the topic were sung by students.
Students shared information on the topic during online sessions to facilitate learning.
Teachers explained about the cruelty towards farm animals to the Jr.KG. students and the effects of water pollution on marine life to the Sr.KG. students. -
Flower Week

Students were made aware of different kinds of fragrant and non -fragrant flowers during this week. Power Point presentations, various stories and videos on the topic ‘Flowers’ were shown to the students.
Teachers were dressed up like ‘florist’ to make learning more interesting. Real and artificial flowers were shown.
Various art activities were conducted during this week. -
Virtual Mahatma Gandhi & Shri Lal Bhadur Shastri Birth Anniversary Celebrations

On the occasion of Gandhiji’s birth anniversary and to pay tribute to the Father of the nation, a video presentation was shown to all the students showcasing the life of Mahatma Gandhi. This day is also celebrated as International Day of Non-violence.
His childhood days and the way he was both inspired and influenced by the stories of Shravan Kumar and King Harishchandra was also expressed in the presentation. One of his stories wherein he stood by his values and did not cheat in his exams was shared to particularly bring in the importance of standing by good values in life.
His journey of becoming the Mahatma was depicted through glimpses of the many movements taken up by him along with his favourite bhajan in the presentation.
The presentation also included his simple lifestyle, his Philosophy on life and Education specifically as Gandhiji was not just a person but a school of thought.
2nd October is also the birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The presentation also included the life, achievements and the simplicity of Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Recorded speeches of both the leaders was shown in the presentation. Students were made aware of the ideology of both the great leaders.

In a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri , a pre Recorded video was sent on Thursday, 1st October 2020 .Both the beloved leaders were remembered for their contributions towards the Indian freedom struggle and the work they had done for uplifting of the society. They had set an example of simple living and high thinking.
